care bear, yeah, I did see that one thread on Solia, and I tend to agree, if it was by accident, she would have been freaking out and asking for them to send her money back or something. I can't imagine that she is lying about donating a $100 because the mods would know whether she did or not, but that she says it was an accident, I tend not to believe that.

I can just see it now...Mom looking everywhere for Dystopia, can't find her, but trips over a loose floor board. Tells Dad about the loose floor boards, Dad nails them back down. Dystopia is trapped beneath the floor boards...ten years later the house is torn down, and all that remains of poor Dystopia is a pile of dust and bones. :P

care bear, it seems that when I was a girl growing up, a lot of hobbies were tied in with the schools and didn't cost anything but monthly dues or whatever. Nowadays, things have changed so much, and hobbies are completely separate from schools and cost a fortune. It makes me sad to see this. Even the YMCA and YWCA charge an awful lot, though they do offer 'scholarships' so to speak, to help families who can't afford the annual fee to join. The only thing is, those 'scholarships' have strings attached to them, which in a way, is understandable, but not everyone has the time to commit and just want to have a place they can go to get out for a little while when they do get some free time. Unfortunately, as a result, a lot of families who really could use the memberships, don't get to do so. Still, at least they are helping some families, albeit only a small handful of them.

I think everyone should experience poverty at least once in their lifetime, because it is a true learning experience and gives you a better appreciation for the things you have when you do have them. Once you have gone through it one time, though, you should never have to go through it again :P
