My birthday was actually quite wonderful. I was very busy, because I hosted a give away on Zanny and had the raffle running here, but my Zanny thread was so busy I could not keep up with it, so I ended up neglecting Mene most of Saturday. I ended my give away at midnight or thereabouts, and spent most of Sunday on Mene to try and make up for neglecting Mene on Saturday, lol. It was actually a very pleasant birthday with the festivities lasting two days long. I didn't have a cake in rl, which is actually probably a good thing since I really need to watch my diet. I had a ton of virtual cakes delivered to me, though, hehe. My daughter and her boyfriend gave me a lovely card, and my daughter actually made French toast for breakfast Saturday, which was a real treat because she NEVER cooks breakfast, hehe. |

How are you today? I'm not in the best of moods, mom is sick with a viral infection and I was meant to see my boyfriend today and it's miffed me off because he can't come round so I won't see him till saturday now :@ Why does my mom have to be sick and why do I have to look after that brat :@# I will also then kick off If I catch what she has got so I am trying to stay away from her. |

She just snapped at me for been so silly when I remember correctly she caught some cold off me the last time and I was the blame for it when all I did was want to stop in bed but nooo not with my mom, I have to help clean the house ect. |

Hmm how does she think reminding you that you gave her a cold is going to help anything? It's in the past, nothing to be done about it now, and well, if you were sick enough to want to stay in bed, then really she only has herself to blame for her catching it in the first place.

Sounds like you get along with your mother about as good as I got along with my mom when I was your age. I don't understand why they like to argue so much...all it does is annoys both of you and just pushes the rift between you apart that much more. My daughter and I never argued like that. She and I always discussed things, I would tell her how I feel, she would tell me how she feels, and we'd try to come to some sort of solution.
I always let her be involved in the decision process, though if we could not come to an agreement, then my word was law. Even then, we didn't really argue, she usually just accepted that's how it was, or she would sneak behind my back, and get into trouble, lol. |
See I know myself I would be more of a relaxed but strict parent. If they wanted somethine pierced I would want them to come ask me first and I would proberbly say yes. Thats how I would be if you caught my drift. I would also be like you were with the discussion part. I would have rules layed down like a curfew of 10clock or something like that. |

Sorry care bear, I'm tired and fell asleep at my desk, hehe. I think I'm going to lay down a while and get some sleep. I haven't exactly been sleeping right lately, as I've managed somehow to throw myself off schedule.
I never had to worry about setting curfews or anything with my daughter. She was always in bed and asleep by 10pm, even when she was little. I never had to tell her it was bedtime, because she would go to bed on her own. Edit: Lordy I know I'm tired when I forget to say something I intended to say before submitting a post, lol. Esmereina, I am really glad you were able to join in the festivities and participate in my raffle. I did, indeed have a wonderful time and really did enjoy my birthday, and I thank all of you who participated for making my birthday such a great time :) |

care bear, she really was good...I don't know what happened to her though, because now she is very irresponsible and does not seem at all concerned with what happens to her children. I know she started her family much too young, but it was a choice she conscientiously made and was no accident, therefore she should be willing to deal with the responsibilities that go along with that choice. I only feel for my grandchildren, because they are the one's who must suffer because their parent's do not care what happens to them. My daughter seems to be going through some form of rebellion or something right now, as she not only has decided she wants to 'look' Goth, but she and her boyfriend have taken to running off whenever they feel like it, not even telling anyone where they are going or what they are doing, then staying gone for hours at a time, while we sit at home worrying whether they are ok or not. I flat out told her she needs to think of her children and stop worrying about herself and her looks. She is being a spoiled selfish brat at the moment, but she's not a child anymore. If she is going to act like a child, then that is how I'm going to treat her. If she wants me to treat her like an adult, then she better damn well start acting like one. |
