Ugh, I'm so frustrated right now. Leave it to Paypal and my trigger happy clicking finger to screw things up.
I'm sorry guys, there's a delay on the May CI's right now as I have had an issue come up with the payment. I decided to get my own prepaid credit card rather than use my daughter's bf's credit card since they are splitting up, and I added the credit card to Paypal today. When I went to make the payment, I failed to notice they put in that the payment was coming from the bank account that I had verified on Paypal a long time ago, instead of from the credit card. I clicked to submit the payment, then my eye caught the info as to where the payment was being drawn from, only it was too late to stop it. That bank account was closed a long time ago and there are no funds in it, so that payment is going to get declined. I've contacted both Paypal and Mene, but until I get this resolved, I do not want to do anything with the CI's, as I do not know if Mene is going to take them back or not when the payment is reversed. I only hope this gets resolved very quickly. |
It likes the debit you always need to say credit. :P

Hehe yeah, you know, it didn't even give me the option to select credit or debit. It just went straight to the bank account, but I looked the credit card up online and from looks of it, Paypal submitted one of those little $1 charges to the credit card to verify it, so I'm thinking the reason it didn't come up as an option is because it takes Paypal time to verify things, plus the fact that by putting that $1 charge through, it left the card short $1 for payment on the CI's.
I was not expecting any $1 charges because they never charged it on my daughter's bf's card and his card is the same kind mine is. Only thing is, his card was already verified on his Paypal account, where mine wasn't, since it's a new card, and the $1 charge is, I'm sure, going to be debited back to the credit card, because those $1 charges always are put back on. |
On my account they didn't take anything from my credit for verifying but they added 27 cents to my debit for varifying :?

Well, this is one of those prepaid credit cards. There is no other reason for them to have charged the $1 fee except to verify the card, since the donation did not come off the credit card, but rather the bank account.
Well, Mene has already reversed the charges on their end, so now it's all up to Paypal to get the rest of this straightened around. Once that $1 verification fee is put back on the card, I'll redo my contribution and get the May CI's. I imagine they aren't going to let me use the credit card until the verification process is complete, so it might be another day or so anyways. |

I have my old joint checking account on my paypal and have to always make sure that I'm clicking on the right account - so I understand your frustration. I hope this gets resolved soon :hug:

Eeps, Elmira! I don't know what that link in your siggy goes to, but it popped up an alert from my antivirus program that a Trojan Horse was found in it, so I aborted the connection to it. Yes, actually I only ended up needing to go for my weekly blood test. My daughter was supposed to have two doctor appts today, but the first one got canceled, so I just went and got my blood test, went to Walmart and picked up the credit card, then came straight home and he took her to her other appt. |
