Yeah, I know they are given out by him, I just didn't know if there is a specific time period he gives them out in. I mean how is it decided who gets an item and who doesn't? I hate to think it's based on favoritism, which I can very well see happening with items that are so rare and randomly given out. I realize my activity on the site, or lack thereof could very well be a determining factor, so I mean I would not expect to get something handed to me, but if the person behind Nalin doesn't like someone who is more active on the site, that person may very likely be a candidate for being overlooked when the items are given out.
Such as, I don't know if Jelly doesn't like me because of some comments I made in her admin's pick thread, so I highly doubt I'll ever make admin's pick. Personally, the gold would be nice, but I don't expect it to ever happen, and I wasn't even trying to be mean, I was trying to be constructive. I just happened to get some very negative feedback over it (not from Jelly herself, though, she just didn't respond). One of the persons who did provide feedback, however, openly admitted that she and others are very much into cliques on the site, but some of those people she hinted at being included in that clique, I know for a fact are not cliquish in behavior and mannerisms, so I just took that in stride. She, personally, is not someone I will include in my circle of friends, as I am very much opposed to cliquish behavior. |
Lol you know Fizi, i actually believe the same of some of the NPC's xD.
There are a few moderators/staff on this site who don't like me either so i kinda feel that i may be overlooked because of that issue. As i believe a lot of people who have had issues with staff in the past are also in the same boat. BUT, in Nalins case, i dunno seems like a very nice person. I can't actually remember how i got em, but it was most definitely during an event. One of them i won first place. But then i do believe he gave everyone that entered either the Tapi or the eggplant, I think he did that on more then one occasion. That is your best chance of getting em. OR keeping your quest thread active. Funny you mention that. I won't deny that i feel they too have their favourites and the rest of us go to the bottom of the pile. BUT in all honesty there hasn't been much giving out of these NPC items that i've seen of as of late. Only during the events really. So if you want a equal chance, your best bet is to enter into the staff run events. |

Hey Stardragon, hey Roachi! Sorry for my absence again, but the kids and I ended up sick with the flu yet once more. It was a nasty horrible flu too, and it wasn't any fun having to clean up after my grandson when I was feeling sick myself because his Dad decided to take off to his new gf's house instead of staying home to take care of his sick kids. He knew I was sick too, so that made me pretty upset. He didn't even tell me he was leaving, Pap told me when I was calling for him to help with his son. I was too sick to say anything though, when he did finally come home, but I let him know how I felt about it once I was feeling better.

Well the flu bacteria lingers apparently. So you really gotta sanitize anything that has been breathed on. WELL to the best of your ability at least lol.

Oh believe me, Roachi, we've done that and then some over and over again because of everyone getting sick so much. I really think replacing this carpet, for one, will really help. It's so old it's literally disintegrating.

Hehe, Roachi, yes, the garlic and peppers sounds good, but I don't know about with orange juice. I would have to try it and see, lol. I'll try almost anything at least once. There are a few things I'll put my foot down to, though, as they just don't sound appealing to me at all. Of course, you could probably fool me into trying it anyways, like we did my grandmother when we fooled her into trying calamares. We told her they were like onion rings, except made with meat. We didn't tell her it was squid though, because she absolutely refused to try anything with squid in it. After she tried it though, she absolutely loved it and learned how to make it herself, hehe. |

@Fizi - Funny enough squid rings are nice!! IF cooked properly! And that's saying something... cause i don't eat seafood. Only fish lol. But garlic and peppers go good in certain dishes, with orange juice as the drink ... not in the food xDD.
