o_O;;

And she wants you to do that in OUR country? o_o;; Pfft, here of all places. >.>;; That's pretty impossible. D: Unless you name one from the newspapers already. :x But yeah, good luck with that. x_x;;

whitebeast 04-06-2009 12:32 PM

I don't even trust the newspapers to provide me with the so called corrupt.

Since it's extra judicial and doesn't go through the process.

There is no evidence and it's mostly rumor.

...I think she wants me to prove.

Since 'Corruption is systemic'

Don't you just love her? x3

Rylynne 04-06-2009 12:36 PM

But that's impossible to prove. DX Unless you really have serious connections, which even if you did could lead to complications. =\ Especially in this country. xDD;;

She can't expect that from you. =O I wish you luck on your paper though. <3<3
Cause, seriously, she's asking for too much, if you ask me. @[email protected];;

whitebeast 04-06-2009 12:37 PM

She's leftist.

That explains A LOT.

>_>

Rylynne 04-06-2009 12:46 PM

Oh. =\

Well, how far off are you from finishing though? :> <3<3

whitebeast 04-06-2009 12:47 PM

I'm not quite sure.

I just have to compile my results and stuff.

Then get it approved for a defense.

It's a self assessment of the court.

Meaning I ask them how they feel and think about themselves.

._. I might get additional data... again though.

Rylynne 04-06-2009 12:49 PM

Well, additional data is always good. The more sources, the better. =) <3<3

Again, good luck with that. =O <3<3

whitebeast 04-06-2009 12:50 PM

...I know I know.

>_> But you really can't avoid the issue of corruption when it comes to studies on the judiciary though.

Since if you lurk about the net, when you type judiciary, corruption ALWAYS comes out.

DX

Rylynne 04-06-2009 12:55 PM

Well, that's how... dirty our country's judicial system is, sadly. :< </3

whitebeast 04-06-2009 12:56 PM

Like every other country's.

Corruption is everywhere.

But they can never prove it.

: / That's the problem.

They like pointing fingers.

But when asked 'Where's your evidence?'

They'll just go on saying IT'S THERE!

._.

Rylynne 04-06-2009 01:02 PM

Well, if misdoings could be proven so easily, we'd have a much nicer and less corrupt country. ^^;; But alas, it's not the case. :<

We can only hope though. :x
Hmm... now I suddenly remember the upcoming presidential elections in 2010. @[email protected];;

whitebeast 04-06-2009 01:04 PM

It's not because they're good at hiding their tracks.

Or most of those supposed HEY LOOK are easily cleaned up.

Most acts of corruption are usually done live and with voice away from the sight of people so it's hard to find evidence for it.

>___<;;

Not to mention, our witness protection whatever isn't strong enough.

Or the whole whistleblowing law.

: /

Rylynne 04-06-2009 01:08 PM

*sigh*
How very true. =\

We can only hope for the best though. >.>;; <3 The cards are stacked against those who want to oppose the current governing "system" in the country. :x

whitebeast 04-06-2009 01:10 PM

I want a cultural revolution.

As in change of virtues and values.

D: System can be changed.

But as long as our awful culture remains, we'll repeat the same mistakes.

T_T

Rylynne 04-06-2009 01:14 PM

Cultural Revolution ala China? =O Cause, that's what I think when you say cultural revolution. xDD;;

And yeah, our culture has officials too comfortable with bribery. =\ Definitely not a good thing. >.>;; It's what makes working there hard. :x

whitebeast 04-06-2009 01:19 PM

NOOOO... D:

Nothing like that!

Our culture atm here is already almost non existent and we'll do something like that? NO!

D: What will remain of our culture then? T___T

Our culture is rich and beautiful but ignored and considered 2nd class.

I find it so sad. D:

Virtues... Values. The way of thinking. ; ;

THAT has to be changed.

Rylynne 04-06-2009 01:21 PM

Okay, lolz. xDD;; For a second I thought you wanted to pull something like what Mao did in China, and I was thinking, "What?! That won't work well with our country. o_o??"

And true. :x It's sad that us Filipinos value our traditions and virtues very religiously, even the bad parts of it. >.>;;

whitebeast 04-06-2009 01:22 PM

I didn't like what it did to Peking Opera. D;

Rylynne 04-06-2009 01:22 PM

What did they do to Peking Opera? =O
We didn't delve too much into it during the various times I took it up. ^^;;

whitebeast 04-06-2009 01:24 PM

Destroyed it.

: / Since it was part of the 'old' China.

Along with all the beautiful tea cups and literature.

._.

Though to my knowledge some parts were retained as long as they conformed.

Not quite sure. But I know it was outlawed.

Rylynne 04-06-2009 01:27 PM

Ohh, I see. =O I figured as much. :x So sad though. :< Culture is very important in any country. =O

whitebeast 04-06-2009 01:30 PM

Yup. It's what keeps everyone together in a country.

._.

Rylynne 04-06-2009 01:32 PM

And identifies a country from all other countries in the world. Everyone's culture is different. It's definitely a defining characteristic. ^^;; <3<3

Azntwins 04-06-2009 01:39 PM
