They only cost $10 more than train/bus tickets, and the flight is an hour and twenty minutes versus over ten hours if I were to go by bus and train. People are saying passengers should be charged according to their luggage weight AS WELL as their body weight. @[email protected];; One guy was saying how his girlfriend gets charged an extra $20 for each kg her luggage is overweight, yet an obese person's body weight alone could be more than 2 times the weight of his gf and her luggage. Ah, I always forget that you guys price gas by the gallon. XDD We do it by the litre here, so I was like WHAT THE HELL $5?!!? Ours is around $1.70 per litre. D: I'd have to convert between litres and gallons and then convert to USD. XDDD Yeah, it would. The whole charging by weight thing makes a lot of sense but it's also quite discriminatory. xP Yeah, I think they're starting to do that two seats thing over here as well. It's really unfair to only get half a seat because you have an obese person next to you. x.x;; And as horrible as that sounds, that's reality. Lmao, a few days ago, the newspapers were saying that Australians are fatter than Americans. XD That was incorrect due to some technicality but there are still a lot of overweight/obese people here. Charging to check in baggage? @[email protected] I know over here they give you a standard weight amount for check-in baggage and then if you're over, you get charged for each kilo you're over, OR they request that you remove some things.
