Hehe~ I live in a cul-de-sac right now. X'D I found it fun when we first moved here, and were younger.
But now we've just been outside doing other stuff. I don't even talk to my neighbors anymore, sadly. >.>;

Yeah, we are getting ready to go home so everything is fookered up. =/ This place is busy because our unit's replacement unit is here so there are 800 more people than normal here. XD

I wouldn't mind living there for a good while once I know German. I've never taken classes or anything; I just know a couple words from when I visited my relatives for a month two summers ago (mostly names of food from grocery shopping).
My dad has always wanted to study abroad himself and it's something he's suggested to me since like, elementary school. :lol:

I've gradually had less and less communication with neighbours since I moved out of so Cal six years ago D: After that, we lived in a gated community which was pretty nice, but I wasn't as close to anyone as I used to be. Then we moved to a small town and our next door neighbour had a daughter a year or two younger than me who would be going to the same high school, so we talked to them a bit. Thennn I moved to San Francisco and lived in a loft on... I think the eighth floor and I almost never saw anyone else in that building. XDD Now, back in so Cal, I've said hi to a neighbour once and that was it. lol.

People in stores are nice enough, but it's so easy to get out of touch if it's not some holiday going on. >.<;
I think it's very likely that when I start living in the apartment, I won't be talking to anyone living in the same house. XD;;

I liked growing up in LA; I lived in suburbs and our second house there was in a cul-de-sac and I always played outside with the neighbourhood kids. It was great when I was young, but now I find it rather boring here and not as friendly compared to San Francisco.

But looking at a map (the town is to small to be on the map I guess) and going by my grandma's judgment, its somewhere north of San Fransisco. But I don't know how far north. Not like WAY far. But not super close either... :<

Well I think my mom grew up in the not-so-nice parts of LA...
Like, she got her stuff stolen all the time, and NOW we hear that there are drive by shootings all the time in her old neighborhood, so its gotten worse. :gonk:

You think it'd be easy to be close to your neighbours seeing how you physically live close to each other, but I find it so awkward these days.

Ooh no wonder she doesn't like LA. It's really sad how the living situations completely contrast each other here. You have places like Skid Row and Beverly Hills' financial district right next to it.

I know they lived in a cul-de-sac...but like, that's all I know. :lol:

Oh, and it was by...er...the wash. Because when we watched Terminator 2, and he was on the motorcycle and the semi was chasing him, my mom was all "I played in there!" xD

Yup, same. >.< On the one hand, there are neighbors old to grandparents' ages. And I'd feel really uhh.. bu hao yi si (I can never figure out a good translation) randomly going over there to say hi. @[email protected] Then there's other neighbors going into the active teenage years, so I feel like they'd be busy doing other stuff anyways. >.>;
