She's going to be swamped in offers. @[email protected]
|
lol Yeah she is. But I dunno. I guess the main problem is that she'll be receiving multiple days' worth of offers at once - thus the need for me to be extremely active so I don't have to do it at once, like I have to do on Gaia. XD
|
Haha, nice.
xD But what if someone offered in the thread, and someone else PMed her an offer on the same item? D: THat'd suck. x_x I don't go on Gaia. THat place scares me. ;^; |
I think a ton of people PM'd her offers on nearly the whole list. XD
I dunno. I'm almost certain I should revise my offers. But eh. |
You're really getting into Mene,a ren't you? xD <3
That's goooood. 8DDD You remind me of the other girl. Err. Who was it. Uh. Started with an A... ALICIA. That girl was crazy in offering and hoarding. @[email protected];;; I remember the exchange disliked her quite a bit for a while because she sold everything at highhh prices. x-x And bought stuff for highhhhhh prices. EDIT: But the main difference is taht you are NICE. ...she wasn't. D: At least, not to me. D: |
This is how I was with Gaia long ago. XD
Well not too long ago. Alicia? Eh. I'm not going to buy and sell at extremely high prices. I'll probably be hunting deal then trying to sell at reasonable prices. I only ask high prices on items I don't have extra copies of. XD Aw glad you think I'm nice. ^^ Being nice helps a lot I think. If you aren't nice, how are people going to buy/sell from you and continue your sales? Only stupid people would go buy from someone that is that mean. |
Yea, that's understandable.
But she drove prices up high, and no one could buy stuff because she'd have like...unlimited pure to buy it at higher prices. D: The sellers didn't care about her niceness/meaness because they got more gold when they sold it to her. ...but I guess that's what she gets for being crazy good at knowing when to hoard and what. xD;; Hard work = high return. YES, you are nice. <3 That's the good thing about Mene. The "exchangers" are almost always nice. :3 Plus. If you're nice, your thread gets posts, and it stays up on the front page often. ^^ <333 |
Eh. Some people know how to screw up a market and do it. That doesn't mean they should be rewarded for their actions. XD
But hopefully I don't get to that point. I mean I'll feel bad for offering lower to people but I'll try to be reasonable about how much I want to profit for. And ultimately I want my gold and items available as an -option- not a rule. Like if someone wanted a lot of money for their items, I'm not going to do it. But if they are in need of pure and would like to unload on me, I'll have money for that. Same with items: I'm not going to sell to someone to have them make money off me. But I will sell to someone that really wants an item but just can't find it, even if I only have one of that item. I think it works better that way. Though sometimes that takes some element of trust between me and other exchangers so that we don't all offer on the same items and build a hateful competition. |
I don't think there have been that many hateful/mean offer competitions since I've frequented here.
x3 Most users are nice enough to bid fairly. :3 Though sometimes you get that one user who'll bid like 100k over. And it's like "dmn. >___>" xD That's a really good mindset. o-o I generally buy. xD; I rarely sell because I'm attached to my items. xD;;;;; Which is bad, especially since I bought them for investment in the first place. xD; |
lol 100K over? o_O
Though I think that a Ninja went for a lot more than I thought it was worth. XD As for attachment to items - that's what I try to avoid. XD But it's a good excuse to ask for more I suppose. |
Well, I was exaggerating, but sometimes people who REALLY want the item fail to realize that if they overoffer, the price of that item'll increase and it sucks for other people.
xD; I think one user once offered like 50k over. And my buddies were like "gah, dmnit" because they were trying to help me win the item. xD <3 Haha, nice. xD I don't get the Ninja/pirate hype. =/ I don't particularly like either. o-O. |
Here's the problem too:
If someone overpays, and then they report it to the price guide, the price guide may in fact value the item at the price that was paid. With that in mind, there is no incentive not to offer as high as you can. For if you have multiple copies of said item, or even if you win said item, the item will thereafter be valued at that higher price. So you have nothing to lose. You see what I mean? As for Ninja/Pirate - I didn't think I understood either for awhile. But then I tried other color modes and it works pretty damn well. :) Pirate Hat is also an item that works well with the red/black/gold scheme. |
Yea, the buyer has nothing to lose, but it screw it up for other questers.
D: And that's mean. D< Ehh... I've only gotten it because i need it in my green clover hairpin offer. >w< |
lol That and it increases in value quickly so that's a good thing when you're sitting on items for an offer. How much are you at right now? Last time you offered to me, it was kinda low-ish. I'm sure it's better now right?
|
Haha...no.
xD nah, I wasn't hoping that you'd take my offer all that seriously. xD If I were you, I'd just say "thanks for the offer, but that's about half of what the price guide wants, sorry! D:" LIke, reject, but be nice about it. xD I'm working on getting more pure. 8D <3 And hopefully going to buy more items in the future. :3 I'm trying to get the more expensive items, so in my offer I'll have more expensive than a mass of cheaper items. xD -pokes my gold clover hairpin offer- Something like that. xD |
At the time, when you first offered it, I had no idea about the market, the prices, etc. Given the situation, I think I should have exchanged a bit first before I took Kin's offer. But I don't regret it. ^^ The price guide was accurate enough that I'm doing okay, I just probably shouldn't have taken so many random event items in sets and just focused on the very popular things.
But that's done with, and I didn't know back then what I know now. It's a learning experience. ^^ The more expensive versus cheaper item thing may work pretty well for ya, I hope it does anyway - but keep in mind that people who sell those things might just want a bunch of items they missed out on, like me. ^^ So keep your options open. B'bye! |
-crawls back onto mene-
Getting distracted. @[email protected];; And yea, that's true. I'll have a spare of every months' set, but I'm going to save gold and get multiple more expensive items than multiples of a single months' set. xD |
Shoo! Go do your homeworks! D: *poke the crawler*

*lurks about as she sees Alexi poke the crawler* :ninja:
