It's so hard to find sets of the older things. I'm sorry that your friend is in jail, but it's good of you to go visit (him?). Hopefully they are not there for long?

However you jump to conclusions too quickly Esmereina because of my post saying that, it meant fair and square it was still up for grabs not on a pending or hold basis. More so because I do not recall you saying anything to give me any reason to assume you had any 'circumstance' that would delay you without choice on replying back. Didn't mean you not have a chance at all just because you did not reply in that time, for as you see Birdie didn't either. I am sorry to hear for your friend but I am glad that you are able to do that. However regardless of the offering gold value, based on viewing the threads it would seem that Birdie is more serious and determined for getting the hat while yourself, your focus seems to be more on the V-day item and perhaps eventually the hat too. With that in consideration I would have to say that Birdie will be the one I'd have to pick on a sense of doing it fairly. (In my eyes) Now to you Miss Birdie, I do not need the 10k offer, though it would be nice. I will accept the original offer of 8k to show I am not picking based on the gold. ^.^ (or else I'd go for the 10k xP) It is because in viewing the 2 threads, I really do believe that you are more serious for this item compared to herself. That's fine. Atleast you thought about my situation. And yeah I am a collector over all. But lately it's been rather slow...since no one really has a Vday hairpin t sell..and I am way behind on the offer for it..OTL...that's why I try to buy the others I don't have in the meantime. I guess being a collector isn't really a serious reason..lol :D
and she is alright...i mean for being in prison.. :\ (yeah it's a girl, Birdie.. ^^) kinda mad at the justice system but what can you do. I wasn't mad about the post or anything. t0 Esmereina - Haha, well buying the others will not help you though in the long run on providing a really worthy offer for it just puts you back further. xD At least that is what I think considering sometimes offers with more items then pure are not always the best thing. ^^; But each their own.
And I am not saying being a collector is not serious business as I am that way on gaia but in all to me, it is serious in terms of questing. But that is just me. *shrugs* But I do thank you for understanding and not bashing me for my decision. <3 if not mind my prying, is just in jail till someone bails her out? Or is it worse then that? @Drache : Oh I wouldn't bash if things don't go how I planned. There is no point to that. XD No one is my enemy here... Gaia however... ugh...but that's an entirely difference situation..lol
As for her...she was convicted of 2nd degree manslaughter...she bascially cut off her father's umm..yeah.. and he just happened to die as a result of it. She wasn't trying to kill him....just take away the part of his body that he was forcefully using on her since she was a child. :\ she is serving 5-15 years... two more years she will make the 5 minimum...but the officers are giving her a hardtime and gving her tickets for no good reasons. And they make fun of her alot because she is heavy set and all. I am just hoping that they can null those useless tickets so she can get out in 2 years. :\ |

I'm sorry Esmereina....but I will keep an eye out for you still if I see another one. A lot of these older items are getting really hard to find but I wish you luck. Hopefully you'll find someone selling the whole set at once! That's what collectors are good for after all. I do collect easy cheap things, like this event I got to sets but yeah the pricey stuff I just don't see the time in investing so much into something I'll never wear.
I could rant quite a bit about the legal system as I was in a bit of a spot myself. But it's nothing like that situation. To me the law seems like a big net with lots of holes. It seem like bad people seem to know how to slip through all the time and innocent people seem to get "caught" and punished. Maybe she could get transfered to different jail? |

Yeah, I am definitely not a fan of the legal system..nor our government. Although compared internationally, we can be ok. But it's still far from perfect. What my friend needs is psychiatric therapy. She's been through so much in her life. And it's just not fair that she has to serve time for something that her own father essentially created. Years and years of abuse physically and sexually...it was only a matter of time before she snapped. She was in the news too back in July 2007. This is why I can talk about it, otherwise I would keep shut. I really want people to know how unjust our judicial court can be. She needs the proper treatment...her being in jail without getting the help she needs is just stupid. And they already transferred her from Riker's to upstate...it's a farther drive for me to see her..so I have to sleep overnight in that town. I mean overall, I see the prison is well kept and the inmates are generally quiet and not much commotion goes on. But it's the officers that tend to be the "bullies" there. But it's nothing more than tauntings. It's just for my friend, their tauntings can hurt her pretty deep considering what she's been through. She has to unfortunately endure all this and hope for a pardon on those dumb tickets they give her. Just keep hoping for the best is all I do. :) If I don't smile for her, who will? |
