D: crap. @Irish: Yea, I didn't agree with my band teacher at all. =/ On this one piece, he completely neglected to bring contrast between melodious and triumphant phrasing. Basically, he wanted to blast out the piece as loud as possible, but I was like "Hey, I think this should be more melodious." And he didn't really listen. THEN when we played the piece at the workshop the guy was like "this part needs to be more melodious" I was like OHHH WHAT NOW. xD |
Lol, my school's band seems so funny. All the people in my orch are people you can see in a concert hall, besides like two, who are cellos and have had multiple encounters with police.
xD;;; dood, you were good in you solo!!! And first chair in most orch's is very, very good. |

@Windy: My band teacher was brass happy.
He idolized everything Trumpet like. Not to mention, when marching seson came around, he promised us try-outs for the piccolo parts, and took back his word because a girl with a PACE MAKER, mind you, Cried and whined for the part. |

And they've had a hell of a time coming here too. My dad came in...the late 80's, with just $100 in US dollars. But my grandfather had a friend who lived on the East Coast, and so he was able to find a place to stay, and he found jobs and eventually paid his way to University of Utah. THen again, he also got a full tuition scholarship. My mother did almost everything by herself. She worked 60ish hours while being a full student, and she also received a full tuition scholarship. I know I don't exactly have to worry about tuition, but I still want to do my part so my parents don't have to spend that much on me. They were able to do it by themselves, and yes, times are wayy different, but I too can do something, right? :] And thanks WIshie. >w< But you're supposed to get the big job and help me out if I have issues. xD I want to go into neuroscience, or psychology and be a counselor or something. I'm really interested in biology, even though I'm not exactly stellar at it...x3; But med school means like...another 4 years, so I'm going to do what I can and minimize the school costs. DO you play golf? :DDDDDDDDDDDD! @Ayu: I guess that's what happens when you play trumpet - you become a crappy band teacher. OOOH DISS ON TRUMPETERS. xD |
