@Umbrella: What DIDN'T I get is more like the question!!
We got a bunch of crap that we needed- febreeze, carpet stain remover, towels, A VACUUM (for $39, no less!) a lamp and some light bulbs.... new sheets for our bed.... JUNK FOOD!!!!!!! Actually, I bought more sugary drinks than anything... and the junk food I DID get was like fruit snacks and mini-applesaucers. OH and I got some Jesus candles.And one of the virgin mary. Not because I'm religious at all, and more because you could buy Jesus candles at wal mart...

@ Snow White: imagine for a second how convenient it would be to have wal mart open 24hrs! Especially for people who a) have social issues, b) do shift work c) night owls d) generally hate how crowded wal mart is in the day e) someone at home ha surprise midnight diarrhea and you need some Imodium or something and you need it cheap!! I dunno. Our wal mart is only open until 11, but when it's 24 hours at Christmas time I always go at like 3am.... less crowded.... a lot easier to deal with :)

I also hate wal mart, but at the same time it makes so much sense for me financially, and its everything all in one place. My gerneral rule though is to do one big walmart trip a month for when all the cleaning supplies run out, and then shop locally for the rest of the month. it works out, and I don't feel like I get quite as bad karma that way.

I know! I saw the little religion candles right next to the cleaning supplies at my wal-mart. I was like WTF?
I'm all about the sugary drinks too. Mainly cranberry juice. :ninja:

Yeah from Monday to Friday it's opened from 8am to 9pm, and Saturday Sunday it's Opened from 8am to 5pm

He spent all day cleaning the house today while I was at work. His parents are coming to visit and he hasn't seen them in two years so he really wants to impress them, and I wasn't really expecting a spectacular job because lets face it, he's a man, but when I walked in the door I was BEYOND impressed.... it was spotless! And he did a really great job on the floors.... that new li'l vacuum sure does suck.
He left the kitchen for me though :) but Im totally fine with that :)

Ok, I don't know the actual cheer, but years ago when I was 17 I worked at McDonalds. One day they sent me to go work at the wal mart location for breakfast, and while I was there prepping right before the store opened I saw all the wal mart employees gathered around in a circle doing a chant and then cheering....

That video is the actual cheer, although it is performed by 3 disgruntled former employees. They do this in the morning to raise morale and help build the team. I think that pretty much everyone hates doing it.

In other news, Dan's parents came to visit last night. He hasn't seen them in 2 years and 2 years ago we had JUST started dating AND I had heat stroke.... so I tried spending time with them but mostly needed sleep hence... didn't make a very good first impression. So I was NERVOUS!!!! and we had them over to our place which is SPOTLESS (though it NEVER is... but I think we fooled them) and once they had been here for 30 minutes and Pops had passed around 3 joints already, I started to loosen up and realize "Wow, my future inlaws are getting me stoned and making gay jokes about my boyfriend. These people are awesome!!"
And today, they are taking us out on a boat!! we're gonna drive up the island and sight see. I'm hoping to see a killer whale. Or a dolphin.... or a sea-kitty (a.k.a a sea lion.... but i like sea-kitty better!!)
Mostly I'm excited to listen to "I'm on a boat" loudly and have it be true.

Windy+Hina: omfg it was sooo much fun today. We took the boat out into the ocean and just floated around and drank and smoked doobies and talked. We saw 5 otters, 2 sea lions, 3 seals 2 herons and a whole bunch of geese. My face is super sun burnt and I'm crazy tired but wow.... best day I've had in a long long time :)

Thank you! I had a lovely time! We went to a restaurant called The Old Spaghetti Factory. I had pistachio ice cream for the first time ever.
