I actually did not start buying art on here until after I finished my quest. Which was kinda funny, cause I was an art whore on gaia.

I'm the same way. The few CIs I have been in my invo several times. I've gone through at least five different Winter Flights.

Shoot I came on here for the main purpose of getting art.
When I first joined I just bought stuff to make outfits to get drawn. Then I pretty much stopped that and just bought art and donated to people.

I came on here for a new place because I was tired of Gaia and all the drama in the exchange on there. It was more drama then profit was worth over buying something off someone. Selling it to their friend. Then buying it back off their friend when they put it up for sale. I mostly did high-end items which is why my buyers and sellers were so limited. >,>;

I could rarely find artists I enjoyed at first. Then got so caught up in my quest and misc donations I just never thought about art unless I was getting it for someone else. =)

Yeah, the drama did push me off Gaia too, but that happened awhile after joining here. Being hacked by a "friend" really puts a person off a site. lol
I never really got into the exchange. I did to some business selling trash and flowers. Did pretty good at that.

There were very few artists on there then but the ones I found I usually liked, and more importantly they were not super overpriced like they were on Gaia.
That's the thing that always helped me. I never really wanted any of the items on here, other then commons and like 6 CIs. I got the rares I wanted slowly over time and worked on the art and donations/charity more.

That has been a big help on here with the prices of art. I have yet to buy art for over 5k for a slot, unless I bid that high on it. =) Yeah, not wanting some stuff does help in the long run. Saves alot of heartache. @[email protected]

Yeah, being hacked sucks. My buddy was recently hacked on there. Took the staff 4 months to sort the shit out.

Yeah, I've seen art go for huge amounts or for big items but just because the person buying the art wanted to do that.

It sure does. I managed to get all my stuff back without staff help, mainly by yelling at the person a lot. (they claimed it was a joke)
But I didn't feel like staying after that. Set up an art contest and got rid of all my stuff.

I can't imagine waiting 4 months for it to be worked out.

Yeah, the amount of trades those items went through was rediculious. The hacker sold the bear hats, headphones, minis, everything pretty much.

wow, that would be so sad.

I didn't even have anything really nice and it made me sad.

Some people will put so much work into stealing pixels. It is crazy.

They do it so they can sell the items for real cash mostly.

I've never understood that.
I can understand buying the new CIs from the site. It is nice to help the site in that small way and get stuff.
But buying them from someone you know is breaking the rules by the simple fact of selling them? I would be too scared to buy them. Always thinking a ban hammer was about to fall. And then how much they are willing to pay is crazy.

That is the thing. Some people get away with it. I know for a fact, on here, that no one gets away with it for long. Everyone gets caught and instantly banned. The staff is highly trained on the offisting thing well on here.

Yeah, it isn't really worth doing in my opinion. Sure, you can make money off some dumbass willing to buy stuff. But really you're just cheating them and yourself. That and you have a chance of getting banned before you even get a transaction. If you are like some people who don't even attempt to not get caught. XD

And really if you are able to hack and get the items then they should just use those skills and get a real job. Use those evil skills for good! lol

Well, sometimes. I haven't in awhile, but we keep poking each other on FB xD. I still think he's alright, even though he's kinda weird. We still had long conversations and stuff, and he was always online when i was active on gaia so we talked heaps. Haha your not the only one he hit on, he hit on ALL the moderators/owners etc of BMC/TLC xD.
