Awww Jennifer, that does sound scary. I hope you have some funds to at least provide a place for you to stay temporarily until you can find a place to settle, hun. I can honestly say I have been in that position before, so I do know what you are going through. Unfortunately, when I went through it, I was six months pregnant and living in my car. Definitely not an experience I would ever want to have to repeat again. Make sure wherever you end up, you look for an agency called Traveller's Aid...not sure of all the places they are based, but they were very helpful to me when I went through that, so if they happen to be in the area, definitely worth getting in touch with them. They even helped me look for a job, letting me use their telephones to call different prospective employers and such, and I don't know if they do it for everyone, because I was pregnant at the time, but they put me up in a motel temporarily. Salvation Army was pretty much useless, and I will never donate to them because of my bad experiences with them. Goodwill was more helpful than they were, and St Vincent DePaul's was awesome. Awww, this means you won't be online for a while too. I do hope you are able to get yourself situated quickly, hun, and look forward to when you can return to us. *Huggles and squishes and luffles on* |

Well, I've saved up enough money to get buy til I can move somewhere else and find a job. I also had a rummage sale a few days ago. So I made about $500 extra on stuff I didn't use. I think it'll be rough for a little while, but I'll make things work.

Aww, I don't let that get to me Jennifer. Only one person can make it, and out of all the avi's there are on Mene, how do you narrow it down to just one? I figure, if I ever make it, that's great, but if I never do, that's ok, because I know the chances of it happening are pretty slim to none.

Ahahaha. :lol: I understand that a lot of the avatars out there are pretty flippen awesome. But sometimes, I wonder, "WHUUT!?" when some are chosen. But it's all based on personal preference. And we all know how loony jelly is. ;) And you might be loony too if you don't know I'm just kidding, haha.

People like avatars that superbly match. There can't seem to be an color out of place. It all has to be even. Which is annoying. .___. I like avatars that match, are at least SOMEWHAT natural, but have a theme. People would rather pile crap on though just to get certain colors in -- and they look just terrible.

Yeah, I like my avi's to match too, but not to the point of overcluttering them. There is one thing I never change on my avi's, and that's their eye color. If the outfit doesn't match their eyes, I don't care. People can dye their hair, and sure, they can use colored contact lenses, but I just really don't like changing their eye color for some reason, hehe.
If I change the skin color, it's because sure, people can tan or get pale based on how much they are out in the sun, or because I'm making a fantasy based avi. Like if I make a cat or a ghost or a zombie or whatever, then I'll change their skin color. I guess the eyes are just a pet peeve of mine, hehe. Edit: Now I will use the contacts though, that we can get here on Mene, or on Zanny, the magical eyes. |

Like you with the eye color, I actually like using a more natural hair color on this site. So when people are like, "You should change the hair color to match your shoes!" I'm just like, "lolol, whut? You're kidding me, right?" :XD
It's definitely neat to be able to change the skin color. Although, I've had one comment that was, "You're black! :insane:" And I'm just like, "SO WHUT." :gonk: I just really like using this skin tone. Thank you, Sebby. Ya know, you could very well try right now. I see that right now you're working a pretty neat avatar! Just add some more head items perhaps and whatnot. :) |

Yeah, see, that's what I love about avatars...you can do things with them that you could never do in real life. My avatar doesn't match me in real life...I don't want her to. I mean, my eyes are blue in rl, but I dress her in things I could never pull off in rl. Well, her current outfit I could, because I look good in pastels, but I did have to dress her for Easter, hehe.
Oh, Jennifer, I've been thinking, I'm going to be able to pick up more of this month's CI's the end of next week, so I figured on trying to sell my April CI set now to earn a bit of gold so I have some for the Easter event. I see that you're wanting to buy a set, so I thought I'd ask you first to see if you want it, hun. Edit: so the avatar spotlight thing...do you have to sign up for it? I thought it was just something where the admins look around the site and pick the one's they like best and just choose from those? |
