The pool was freezing cold. It's been storming all month here, so it hasn't had the time to get warm. Instead, it was cold as ice. Which is why he bet me $15 to jump into it.

Ick. Still 15 bucks is 15 bucks I guess. I'm poor right now, so that's alot of money to me. :P
The weather hasn't been warm enough for us to go swimming outside either. Grandma had the pool set up for the kids, but it was ice cold and we just had a group of storms blow in so poor T took one jump in the pool and was shaking sooo bad. Poor kid.
Anyways I gotta go - work is finished and I need to cook dinner for the little rugrats. I'm making Spinach and Lentil soup. Pam already turned her nose up on it, but I'm sure they'll love it as it's sooo yummy!

I love Lentil soup! It can be somewhat bland but its such a filling and comforting food. I usually take a can of Lentil, 1/2 cup of rice and 1 cup of water and cook it on the stove. Its very filling because the rice expands in your tummy and its also an inexpensive meal.
Low cost + filling food = good deal

Oops, sorry I disappeared again. The kids' Dad brought them inside and they wanted to watch a movie, so I let them watch Diego real quick on the computer, hehe. We shut our satellite TV off yesterday because they were charging us more than the agreed upon plan amount, and it's not the first time we've called them about it.

That's cool. Sorry to hear about your satellite television provider. Ours doesn't do that; though we've had some minor problems here and there. Right now someone has the station tuned to Cartoon Network or Boomerang, whatever you call it. I'm too lazy to change it.
Yarr. I sold the snake thingymabobs already...sort of. Just waiting on Caroline is all. I'm too lazy to update the first page.

Yeah, the kids are really missing their Noggin channel, which it was always tuned into, lol, since they were the only one's who watch this television. We'll be getting regular cable television soon, though, to make up for not having the satellite tv. The kids might not get Noggin, but they should get something for kids anyways, although personally I liked a lot of the shows on Noggin for them. Some of the shows were kind of strange though, like Oobi and the Upside Down Show.

My little sisters watch those shows. I don't particularly like most of the shows they show kids these days. They're freakishly lame. I don't even much like the new Winnie the Pooh show - what's her name...Darcy? I like the older shows when I was a child.

Darcy? That doesn't sound familiar to me. I have never seen any Winnie the Pooh shows recently though, only the older ones with Christopher Robin.
I think that Max and Ruby is a cute show, although it seems odd that Max's big sister Ruby performs all the parental duties for Max, yet they depict her as being maybe 7-8 yrs old herself. I know a small child would not pick up on this, but us adults most certainly do, hehe.
I did not like Lazytown at first, but realized as I've watched the show that it does offer some good lessons to children, so now it doesn't bother me so much. Yabba Gabba whatever...I forget the name now seems like a good and entertaining show for children and offers some educational aspects to it, so I kind of like that show too. Oswald is just a very strange show. Backyardigans is not only fun and entertaining, but also educational. Dora the Explorer and Diego are both educational. Miss Spider is another one that is not only fun and entertaining, but educational as well.
I would have to say of those that I've listed, my favorites for the kids are Backyardigans, Miss Spider, Dora, and Diego. All these shows are geared towards the toddler and not towards older children, so they are perfect for my grandkids, and don't have any 'wierdness' attached to them.

Hey Cadi. :) Watcha doin'?
Fizi. I don't particularly like those shows much. I'm used to them, but they're just really odd sometimes. Even though, I'll admit, they are quite educational for children these days.
