whats poppin jen?
|
Yeah...My guy just graduated from grad school...and can't find a job...So with us existing on mostly what I bring in...Now is not the time for a honeymoon:( At least I have the wedding mostly paid off...Still working on paying for photos...But that's it really:) Those suckers are so expensive!
Waves hi to B.D. |
Not much. Just got back from town. I ran out of water... *looks at empty cup* :gonk: Too lazy to go get some more, heh.
Daria, I bet it's been tough for him to find work. So many people are losing work and it's hard to find any at all. I hope he find something soon though and that you're able to pay off any debts. Wedding photographs? :O When did you get married? |
Gib-uh-wai?
Nice. =) Hey people! |
Hey Ayumi!
We got married in October...The plan was to procrastinate a honeymoon till the summer when he had finished school and I was off work for the summer... It's really hard and depressing....He's competing against people with 10+ years experience...He just can't seem to find a break:( |
yuh dude, gibuhwai.
Daria. Well congratulations to you newlyweds! Still sorry to hear about him not finding work. I can sort of relate. But I'm definitely not in the position where I have to worry about the things you two probably do. I suppose if things get too tough, you could check out if you qualify for any sort of financial aid. But otherwise, I'll just pray that he is able to find something eventually. That way you will not have to stress so much anymore.  |
I couldn't agree more Jen...If he ever does get a job...Then I wanta open up a shop and sell the monthlys for folks who can't just buy them...But at this moment...I financially can't do that! Maybe later right;) Here's to hoping SOMETHING comes his was soon....GAH!
|
lol, i think i go through like 4-5 bottles a day >.>;
|
Yo~!
The economic problems really suck. My dad was laid off and now he's trying to start his own business. It really sucks. Hopefully it gets better. |
I kind of miss donating myself and being able to sell the monthly items. But since I've been out of work, I've been keeping every penny I find - literally! I'm always like, "WOOT! Found a penny! Only $3.28 to go til I have enough for one tank of gasoline!" Haha.
Carlie. Water is good. I don't drink bottled water though. Why pay for something you can get at home? Unless I guess it's contaminated or something. Earlier I was in the kitchen and was drinking a cold glass of water and was all, "OMGAH, this stuff is so good!" and my sixteen year old sister comes in going, "What is? I want some! What is it?!" And I said, "Water! You should try it! It's free! I got some from right there! *points to faucet and continues drinking cold water happily*" She rolled her eyes, called me a dork, grabbed a soda and left the room. :XD And I yelled at her sarcastically, "Don't you be hatin' on good ole H2O!" i lub water. |
I usually drink either water or tea...I am not a soda fan....Yep, I'm weird...I know;)
|
Guess what, neither am I. :XD Whenever someone complains about there being no soda pop left, nobody can get after me. I just don't drink soda. Though once in a great great while, I'll drink orange or grape soda pop. But it's not often. Just like I don't eat candy that often either. And I don't like chocolate. :XD
|
If I do drink a soda, it will be orange, strawberry or root beer...I always forget to stock the stuff when I have folks over for a party or whatever because I just never think to buy any. My guy just drinks coffee, water or "Martinis" (I know how snooty can ya get;)) I like chocolate...but try not to eat much...I don't wanta be chubby!
I went to a party the other night...and was astounded how overweight all my friends have gotten. They are all seriously obese to the unhealthy point. It's kinda scary....I don't wanta join that club! |
-back-
For a lil' while anyway Hai thar, what's up? |
Bahaha, Martini's. Someone's tryin' to act sophisticated, haha! Kidding. :XD
I usually gain my weight be eating a ton of pasta and breads. I love carbohydrates. Mostly eat them when I'm stressed or when I'm sick. Not sure why I don't like sugary things. I can't have sugary cereals (but only once in a while). It's usually Pops, Cherrios or Rice Krispies. I don't particularly like to make fun of obese people. But I suppose I do question why some people think being overweight is something to proud about. When you get there, I understand you get depressed and you need to sort of cope with the body you have. But at the same time, you should think about trying to manage your weight, ya know? Some people are just like, "I'm big and I'm sexy! *stuffs face with bad food*" That's not really a healthy way to think about things. |
Hi Hime! How's it going?
I agree Jen...I know exactly what ya mean...Some of my friends are convinced they are "chubby sexy"....But I don't buy it...I am really worried about all of their healths. My doc is telling me to lighten up a little, and I am only a tiny bit over when compared to my friends. They are all seriously 100-250 pounds over weight. That is a LOT of overweight. I worry about heart attacks, diabetes, hypertension all of these things for my friends...They can't feel good as they are...AND most of them smoke too:( NOT good:( |
But... but... I like Martini baby!
Only the white though, with lots and lots of ice cubes :3 Talking bout healthy foods.. all I eat are patato's (I love patato's - the fact that my boyfriend know how to prepare them in 32 different ways, only adds up to that), pasta and meat. I need to eat more vegetables and fruits; so my doctor says. I even have to take these pills (though I almost always forget to take them) because I have an iron defiency Dx I smoke too though... I have for the past six years. A bad habit I wanna get rid of Dx |
I think they say that to cover up how they really feel about their bodies. It's just not healthy being so overweight. I know I used to be about 40 pounds overweight. And when I lost it all and got to a decent weight - I really felt so much better about myself. I have more energy (though even myself would beg to differe, haha) and my mental wellness as got better.
Smoking and being overweight just means more health issues. Makes you wish people would see the big picture. Hime. Jenny loves her potatos, too. Mostly because I'm from Idaho and grew up eating them, haha. When I'm really hungry, I just wash a potato, poke a few holes in it, put it in a grocery bag and put it in the microwave for a few minutes. It cooks it well and ready to be seasoned. Then it makes it's trip to my belly. BWUAHAHAHA. I used to smoke. D: |
It's funny that of the two lighter males in the group, one has had a heart attack and the other has diabetes. And they are the "light" ones.
I kinda feel weird at their parties too...as there is usually only one other person smaller than I there (she's got the metabolism of a humming bird and is super tiny)...I feel like I kinda need to hide the fact that I am small with bigger clothes...So they don't feel I am showing off or something...Which is dumb! I exercise a LOT and eat healthy...and I still struggle with my weight... |
Hmmm, I fancy some patatoes right now
-demands boyfriend to make her some patatoes grilled in the oven with some cheese on top- That is a very convenient way to do it Jenni! I do the same with my patatoos but then on the BBQ! xD Also, how did you manage to quit? @Daria: I bet its all muscles you are hiding there ;-) |
Doesn't make it look good when you're trying to prove to your more overweight friends that their weight could lead to terrible health issues, heh.
And yah know - you should start wearing what you like to those parties. Instead of trying to hide it to make you friends feel better about themselves. Maybe it will help them realize a few things. And I understand what you mean - I too struggle with my weight once in a while, even though I eat healthy and work out. Hime. HAYHAY. SHARE. Melted cheese with brocoli. YUMM~ I never was really fully addicted to it I guess. So I was able to do it cold turkey. |
Hey Hime, a friend of mine quit by getting some meds from her doctor that made the cigarettes taste NASTY! She would want to smoke, but couldn't stand it...It really helped her to quit.
I think you are right Jen...Maybe I should just wear whatever. It's funny, one of my friends commented that I look like I have lost weight...but I haven't (been in a cast most of the summer and was unable to exercise till about 2 weeks ago), I was actually up by 5 pounds. |
Wow. I feel left out. I don't smoke, never have, and I'm not very overweight. But it might be because my metabolism hasn't had the time to slow down.
*shrug* But high weight and drugs and no proper diet is a cocktail for heart disease, joint pain, and other health issues... > _____ < |
Smoking never seemed like something I wanted to do...Everyone I know who smokes want's to quit...So why start? If you don't start...You don't have to quit....
|
How did you end up in a cast? :O
I had my first cigarette I think...last year? When I was living with a room mate and life was just getting really crappy. I purchased a pack of cigarettes and smoked three of them. From then on, I would smoke one when I was depressed. It wasn't too often though. I hear that one cigarette is enough to get you addicted. I'm just thankful that didn't quite happen to me. I just happened to realize one day that I hadn't smoked in a very long while. So I wasn't completely addicted. Haven't smoked in about six months. It's a sick habit. My father has smoked since he was seventeen and still smokes. I can't stand the smell of the smoke itself, but the smell of tobacco smells good. o 3o Not sure why. Anyway, I sometimes feel that his bad habit somewhat is a factor in his epilepsy. |
