I'm confused. Are you wanting my Chilly the Polar Bear for your January Set? I thought you meant you wanted to trade a Chilly for my Sleepy Time. I don't have a Sleepy Time that I'm wanting to sell.

It would be nice to get it from the auctions for cheap. But then again, if in a few years I decide I want to sell it (doubtfully, who you never know), then I don't want to be restricted. So I think I'm just going to save up and try to find a seller instead.

ooh yes that's true. it's nice to be able to buy an item and then sell it later on. ^^; 'tis why i'm glad i don't have to participate in the auctions!

If it were something really cheap in the auctions, I would go for it. But if it's something that's really expensive like the Valentine's 2007 items and whatnot, it's better to just pay a lot more for it. Because then you can sell it for 2, 3, 4 times as much many years later on. :XD

I'm surprised I'm doing so well at selling my things saving my gold now. I usually give up and go for something else. I tried questing for the pin once (maybe twice) before this. But I feel more inclined this time because of my limited time on the internet.

I wish they'd put that symposium idea into play. (The selling of auction/quest raffle items, if you've owned it a certain amount of time). But i suppose that won't be happening any time soon lol.

i doubt you'll ever be able to sell the items. as people could scam the auctions pretty easily.

like right now, if you wanted a king crown, but already had the queen crown. you could sell the crown to a friend, then join the auction on the king crown. buy it, and then buy the queen crown back from a friend. :O and then 6 months to a year down the line you could sell said king crown for full price? >__O; it seems highly doubtful. and scam-sounding. lol

That's not allowed in the auctions, wish. It says that in the rules you can't lend or sell items just to get an item from the auction and then buy/take back the item from the friend. :XD

I only had one item from the auctions. But before the rule was in place, I gave it away to then-mod nescia. I had permission from staff though, too.

well see how much i pay attention. :P i don't read the rules because i don't participate. xD!!

In the symposium thread, they also said that if items were to be sold. You weren't allowed to enter into the GBA/Quest raffles for those items again. I'm sure if people were wanting to sell them/trade them, they'd have to notify the staff and tell them why etc. That would be a good idea. But who knows, that thread was started over a year ago, so i guess it's not happening lol.
