I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but I hate getting rates where people just point out my hair color. I usually choose a color that doesn't match with the avatar, but still compliments it, and some don't realize it. They're always "Oh, you have a nice avatar, but your hair is green 1/10."

9 colors docked for hair color, rofl. Harsh. I think that color works quite well with your avatar, actually. It's got the same sort of "feel".

@Plat- I think your avi is quite lovely at the moment xP

@waffle- until you mentioned that I didn't even realize your hair was the only thing green...you worked that color in with the hair quite lovely xP

Ever since which avie do you prefer opened up, I've pretty much stuck to that and not gone in the rate the avie above you thread. You still get good comments and suggestions much of the time, but people aren't as critical/looking at every little detail as those in rate the avie above you.

I stick to three threads mostly in the AC, "which do you prefere" "what do you think of" and "project mene" but I will venture into different peoples threads for a rate from time to time if I know they are contructive.

I like to know what people think, but I don't generally like full ratings.

I haven't gone to rate the avatar above you in months, I mostly stick to which avatar do you prefer, and if I want specific advice I'll ask in project mene, users pick, or I'll go to an individual rating thread if I know that person will give good constructive criticism and help me make it work

I've gotten so sick of "it's nice 7/10"
that's not why I ask for a rate, if you don't have anything to criticise and no suggestions to make, then why did you take off the points?

Haha yeah that happened quite a few times to me :D

Ok, I dress my avi, as to how I percieve her at that moment. My avatar reflects me. My style, my appearance. I get so many comments about how she should have more of a skin tone, change the hair colour, change the eye colour.

I got started on forum sites through Gaia where you have to buy your hair if you want a new color or cut. (Although I quit Gaia long ago), I kept that mentality, thus my avi became what I almost wished to become. My dream me, per say.

Her skin, hair, and eye colours aren't going to change, and I'm really tired of people telling me that her outfits are too simple. I like simple. I don't like doing cluttered and busy outfits...

THANK YOU.

I get some very flattering rates that say something like "10/10 can't find anything wrong" but if I don't get that perfect 10 in your eyes, please tell me WHY. XD

I notice some people get told to put more realistic (not white) skin on. What for? Is the point of this website to look realistic..?

I make a point of making some pretty impossible (clutter-wise) avatars because I don't have to imitate the real world. I like that aspect of this site :/

lol I like the white skin so I get that ALOT.

The white skin is actually closer to my natural then the lightest peach...o.0 I'm not white but I am very pale.

I get really low rates because "i don't have enough items to really make an outfit."
I generally stay away from the Which Avatar do you Prefer thread and others like that.
Everyone's always saying "i like where you're going... but as far as now you haven't gone anywhere with it" and it's kind of annoying me, you know? I do what i can to make an outfit and people tell me to use MAC, which I do, but I try to raise the money for the more expensive things first and people get really critical.

It bugs me when someone says my outfit doesn't match. Different people have different ideas of what colors go together. I had someone say purple and red don't match. I love matching purple and red. They look awesome together.

I've had people tell me the purple and red thing too, oddly enough. They actually look GREAT together. I don't expect people to know color theory but it just bugs me when someone tells me something doesn't go with something else when I know for a fact it does.. XD

I get confused with avis that have little items because I never know if people are changing or if they're actually going to stay like that. So hard to pinpoint a style when I have no clue who they are x.x;

I really get bugged when someone has a creative theme yet they get unappreciated because it isn't "normal" Or I hate when people say "Too simple" or "Too clutered" I mean do avatars really have to have a certain number of items for them to be perfect? XD

I think my funniest comment has been "Your outfit looks too 'halloween-ish" Or along the lines of that, just because my avatar has orange and black in it... XD I dunno, i just wanted to give myself a challange since there are not alot of orange items on Menewsha.

I know! I made my avatar to reflect my meatworld self (well not the ears but that's not the point), I'm not this pale but I am paler than the other skin-tones(gamer), and I have green eyes. I'm not going to change 'em for my outfit! I do change my hair, but some of my friends are in cosmetology school so I get free hair dyes:squee::boogie:!

I've been slowly venturing into the AC here, but is kinda discouraging.

Basically, the vibe I've gotten here is if I'm not wearing 35540524904032 layers perfectly color-coordinated, noone will like it. End of story.

So I made a pile of semi-coordinated random junk to rebel to that fact xD;
