Just in a bad mood today
I found another baby bird out front today, and a huge nest knocked down out back with eggs in it. There were two eggs still in the nest, but I found two more that were undamaged, but there was one that had been broken. It had a tiny baby in it and I felt so horrible. I put the eggs back in the nest, and when my mom got home we got a ladder and while she pulled the branch farther down, I got on the top of the ladder and put the nest back where it had been before. I'm really hoping the parents go back to it, but its not very likely. :'(
But this is all because of stupid blue jays. They kill everything they can get their little claws on, and they tear up all the nests they find. It makes me so angry. Horrible, horrible birds.
Really how come they won't go back for it? That happened to us recently. But it was actually a nest of baby birds. We just put it back up and the parents went back.
Bluejays? What do they look like? We've got some kind of interesting bird living in our back tree's. It makes a really unique sound. I'd like to know what it is.
A lot of birds dont go back to stuff that humans have touched. I think its more so with the eggs than babies, though, but I'm really hoping they go back to it. If they do, that'll be great. Might just sit out back tomorrow and read and keep an eye on it. There is nothing that I can do if they dont, sadly.
They're blue and make a really irritating noise. We call them blue jays, but I think thats not the proper name for them. I'll get out our bird book and check...Okay, yeah. The blue jays are actually the pretty birds. What we get are the Western Scrub-Jays, but everyone still just calls them blue jays in our area. lol If you go here, this is what they look like and the noises that they make: YouTube - The Western Scrub-Jay
So irritating. Uugh. I hate these birds with all my being.
Yeah, i'm hopeful, too. I dont want those pretty little eggs to be abandoned. :<
And I hope that you never do. They're horrible birds.
But you dont live over in the west U.S. or Mexico, right? In which case, you probably never will. There are different kinds of jays in different parts of the world, but I dont know if they all act the same way.
Common or not, its still a living creature just as any other
Humans are rediculously common creatures and yet people care when an individual dies. Why not a common bird?
I wanted to do the Claddagh Belt justice. I think the outfit itself was decent, but it didn't feel at all like me. (Seriously, I feel more comfortable cosplaying Power Girl, who is not at all like me.) So I scrapped it.
The color clutter style is clearly not my forte.
