I'm not saying Avatar wasn't beautiful or that it didn't create another world. It still stands that some stories are more original than others, and Avatar was definitely not one of them. Visuals was about all it had going for it. Storywise, The Last Airbender had more potential, but it ended in the hands of he who created The Happening. I will stick to my cartoons from now on. XD

I agree. :]
I found it to be really great. I'd much rather live in a world like that then in this pathetic world that we have, full of hate and crime. -__-

Why couldn't you update your drawers, Suo? O_o

Is it because Hime has not announced this month's winner? xD

Oh, no, I mean update last month's Ci's for the contest with these ones. Haha. Since it wouldn't be fair since its past the deadine. xP;; I usually just update it whenever I feel like it, but tend to be pretty lazy about that. I need to save more of my avis. I usually change so much when trying to get something the way I like it, and in turn lose some decent avis

Ooh, I see. xD

You can always update it under your regular drawers, though, yes?

Yeah, I'm lazy to update my drawers too, unless there's a particularly great one I like, then I update them in one go.

Yup. Which I will eventually. Haha. For now i'm just lazy.
I should save it, though, since i'm sure i'll want to change sooner or later, and since I keep just fiddling with this version, I might end up changing it without remembering to change it and then not remember what items I had on it. @[email protected];;

Personally, I think I prefer it before you added the rest. :O
You look more formidable that way. lol

Sometimes I can't even remember what I put on after saving the avatars! I'm bound to miss a few and then remember about them some time later when I refer to the image again. xD

lol I liked it when it was more simple, too, but the just random bit of green on the avi from the wrap on the shoulders was driving me nuts. @[email protected];; I still saved that version, though, incase I decide to change back to it. Also, I hate that this one is so setish.

Actually, I might know something that could work for the other version, now that I think about it. I think i'll switch over to it real quick and see if I can make it work. Haha

I think what I really like about your few current avatars is the gold popping out amongst the darker shades. xD

Where is the green poking out of the shoulder from? I can't seem to recall any.. Oh! The peacock sash. xP

I like the direction you're going with the current one, though. I feel very uncreative these days, if my avatars are any indication.

Yeah, I love that about the dark skin. I think its the only time these eyes can really be used.

Yup. The sash around the shoulders. It covers the gold armor enough to make it look less gaudy. Haha.

I dont know where i'm going, sadly. @[email protected];; I just keep switching around and usually end up in the same spot that I started. Maybe I should just give the new CI's a try.

I should try dark skins next time. I don't use them often, or at all. o_o

The sash over the gold armour is something to note. I'd try that for another one of my concoctions. >: D

And you ended up with something entirely different in the end. But I still your avatar, Suo. xD

Haha, wow. It looks like I started a mini-debate about Avatar and Avatar: The Last Airbender... and then came back only to miss the entire thing. xD;

I realize that it ended a couple of post earlier, but I want to throw in my own thoughts really quickly. So, I pretty much agree with PlatinumChild about everything. Avatar by James Cameron was a million time better than The Last Airbender, but that's only because they both really sucked. Avatar had nice graphics, but it felt more like a computer game than another world. I mean, they spent so much time oogling at those floating islands, but that's been around in flyFF for ages. It was hard to be impressed since CGI isn't that new and we're bombarded with 3D wherever we go. In all fairness, I think I would have liked the movie if the plot wasn't so predictable and the characters so one-dimensional. I cringed everytime Jake Sully was on the screen--or one of his research buddies.

The Avatar tv show was great though. I mean, you do have to take into consideration that it's for kids, but you can really enjoy it. It has its stupid parts, but I think it respects its audience. That's something that both movies lacked, imho. Avatar the movie just assumed you'd be so blown away by the graphics that you wouldn't care that it didn't have a story or decent characters. The Last Airbender movie just thought it could be successful because it was based on a hit show and lacked any quality whatsoever.

Is it okay if I added in a Monthly CI Contest entry for August alongside my July one? They're named below the avatars.

Wow... just wow! There were so many nice avatars this month! While last month was a relatively easy pick, I really had a hard time choosing this round!

But I made my choice, and the July winner is...

Kultura!

I just love the mix of blue, browns and gold in this avatar (I'm a sucker for this color combo) and the face (the use of eyes and make-up) brought me over the top. Nice job! One August set coming your way :)

But like I said, I had a hard time choosing between another wonderfull avatar.

So second place goes to...

Ferra

Love <3
The use of the mask in combination with the hair was clever, and I adore the little midnight colors!
You may pick any common you like (<750g)

And last but not least...
Third place goes to...
Rylynne

One of the few people that used the retrobot item last month, and she did an amazing job! I love the way she used little red accents, and the combination with the grey and teal is so nice!
You may pick any common you like (<500g)

But like I said, there were A lot of nice entries, which means a lot of honorable mentions too (:
The following people can all choose a common they like(<150g):
Iroase Delshatten
Sizzla

Another months funds well spent xD
Y'all did a nice job, looking forward to see more of that!
