Yay - I'm so excited for the return of Project Mene!
I'll most likely be applying as judge again, possibly with the nod to Seiki that if he needs me more as a contestant he could switch me over. :B Both ways are a lot of fun.

Either way, we'll have to see how the application turnout is first. It could go either way and there could be a ton of applications for contestants and a ton for judges so I might have to say no to people and I might not. I'm not really sure. I would love to have an excess amount of people so that I know there's a legitimate anticipation or excitement about the contest. I lost the word that I was looking for mid-sentence so if that didn't make sense I'm sorry >>

Seems like most people want to judge XD

In my opinion, judging is easier. I only participated as a contestant once before Donna quit hosting the contest and I took it over, but I think as far as pressure-wise, judging is definitely easier.

@Seiki: Yikes, I hate when you get stuck writing a paper at the last minute. I got pretty good at BSing papers, but I regret it now. It's hard for me to remember a lot of what I learned. Trying to cram all of those dates and names in for test time has ensured that now my memory is a jumbled mess. :gonk: But that's probably less of an issue for your majors. In my case a big portion involved studying ancient history.

The good thing about this class is that there aren't any exams or quizzes. It's all assignments and busywork so as long as everything gets done there's nothing to worry about when it comes to memorization.
And my teacher pushed back the deadline to tomorrow. I guess a lot of the students were saying that the prompt for the assignment wasn't clear enough or they all needed more time or something so she moved it to tomorrow night instead. So I'm just going to finish it tomorrow. I've got a good head start on the assignment for now, and probably could have finished it in time but now it's no biggy and I can check for any mistakes that I've made and have time to actually edit it in the morning so yeah.

I think I only took more than 15 credits once, and that was enough to stress me out. But I took care of all of my "gen" classes while I was in high school since I did "running start" which let me study at community college for free. So at my university I took nothing but classes for my major/minors. In order to fit everything in I had to take summer classes too, which is probably why I felt so burnt out by the end.
I mostly crammed since I can't remember names or dates for crap. XD I've never, ever been able to. As much as I like history, it is not the subject for me.

I've taken 18 credits two semesters in a row, and I'm taking 12 over summer, and 22 credits this fall. I like the challenge. Plus, I'm trying to get as much done as I can before I go to England for my study abroad in case they don't have a very wide range of classes to choose from. But I already told you that so.. yeah xP

That goes back to what I was saying earlier. I like to pick contestants from the applications that I feel will give the widest range of avatar styles. When two or more contestants have the same kind of avatar styles, you're guaranteed to have similar entries and I think it just makes the contest more fun when you're not trying to decide which of two similar avatars is better.
So when you get someone like CK, who has her own unique style, you get a unique interpretation of the challenge that someone like myself wouldn't think of.

xD Either is fun. They get me to look at the avatar in different ways when I judge versus participate as a contestant (well, I only did that once, but you know what I mean).
When I participate as a contestant, I think of what it is I want to be able to do and what keeps me from being able to accomplish that.
When I participate as a judge, I get to look at what the contestants did as a whole and figure out what they might have been able to do with different items.
With my position as AA, I'd be mildly concerned that I'd be tempted to cheat to recolor an item I needed. >_>; I would make myself not do it, though, since it would be entirely unfair, even if I mentioned, "Hey you guys - I recolored the pants from the (X) shop for my avatar, in case you guys needed them for yours too." I didn't do that the last time I played with Project Mene, but I did semi-sort-of do it for an avatar contest during an event. I wanted to cosplay Batgirl, and since there was already a yellow mask for the Plague Doctor set, I recolored everything yellow so I could have the belt and boots in yellow for my cosplay. >_>;

See above. And no cheating missy. Though I might come up with some requests for you soon. I for sure want more orange items using the same color palette as the Sunny Summer Skirt. It's always either the foxxy or the beach orange, which are either too light or too dark. And now we have the burnt orange, which I love. We need more of that too. But preferably the Sunny Summer Skirt orange first.
And I probs have a list of items that I would love to see in other colors or incorporated into new shapes for new items. Like I said, I'll get back to you.

I feel like I was the one that did most of the bothering. Because I kept telling you I would start it up again and then time would pass and nothing would happen and then I'd tell you again and it would repeat again and again and again and now it's here. And that was a terrible run-on sentence >>
