I don't know how it never came up on the first page, I'm sorry guys. Cora and I worked out a schedule so we could keep the challenges coming in a timely manner, and it never got updated. The plan was to have the challenge available from Sunday at 1159AM EST to Thursday at 1159AM EST, with judges turning in their scores by Sunday at 10AM EST, and then scores + new challenge up by noon so that it keeps rolling. We'll update the front page for future reference and such later.

And I'm sorry I haven't been on to respond. It's my birthday and I got stuck at work :(

Not a bad little schedule that. I forgive you for making a mistake. Makes this not perfect girl feel better. :D its far to hard to keep up with you amazing people when you don't make a rare ocassional mistake.

i had a job once where you got paid time and a half (just like all the other holidays) if you worked on your birthday and if you didn't work it you got a paid holiday! now places just suck

so judges have from noon thursdays to 10am sundays to get the judging in right? i just want to make sure that i am 100% clear also, happy birthday, seiki! hope you get to have some fun today too!

I had to work on my birthday this year. The school year for the kids ended Wednesday, May 29th. But the teachers had to stay for "post planning" which involved breaking down our rooms, inspection, etc. My birthday is May 31st, the Friday of that week. I was DONE on Thursday. But we HAD to be there until 3 PM on Friday. >.< So I sat around all day and hid from the admins because I didn't want them to say, "Go do this now that you are done." At 3...I high tailed it out of there!

it was actually a residential home for kids. it was a privately funded place mostly so the state didn't have say over things like that at the time *shrugs* things went down hill so i hightailed it outta there... much like maria at 3pm on her birthday lol

lol mine was a private school - which meant they ran all over me and I had no say in it D: XD

I'm so happy I'll be in a public school in the fall :D

mmmm i'm still pretty sure i won't be involved in either private or public unless i end up teaching.

I loooove teaching. I loved my kids and fellow teachers. But I had to get out of that bad situation - I was paid for 4 days but was often required to work 5 or 6 days a week without any extra pay. D:

Public schools can't legally get away with that because they are part of the gov. But private schools can do what they want.

i am hoping to get into a school this fall i think. i would be an ed tech and not so much a teacher lol i really like the hours better and i'd get out earlier so i can accommodate the hockey games in the fall/winter

and really.. the public schools around here i don't trust anymore. And the private if i could find would be way over my ability to pay. I'm planning to home school my little ones :D

Working in a school gives you great hours! Plus I get summer and spring and winter break for hte rest of my life :D It's so worth it!
