I've always heard it's good luck when a ladybug lands on you, Suona.
... it's bad luck when you're indoors in winter and it's actually an Asian Lady Beetle, because she'll bring all her friends and infest your southern-facing windows and be almost impossible to get rid of... plus they release an awful stench if you try to sweep them out of the way-- pro tip: Use a vacuum cleaner on them. Not that Wyrm has experienced this at all, no.

I think they can be a good or bad omen. X3
I looked it up once when I found one in my room the night before I was gonna go on a road trip to visit Hadsie. o 3o
I don't remember anything about it, though. XD

Ladybugs aren't much of a smell problem, although they do smell. It's lady beetles... they do much the same job, but they also have a tendency to swarm. Indoors. In Eastern Asia they tend to live in teeny crevices in south-facing cliffs, so they'll be warm in the winter... but since they've been introduced to the US they tend to live in teeny crevices in south-facing walls... and often work their way to the inside of those walls. And since it's warm inside, hey presto, they're not trying to overwinter, they're flying around being a nuisance!
The horrible smell is apparently a defensive mechanism that they release when they feel threatened. They can also apparently bite, which is just annoying unless you're allergic.

Knowing my luck I'd probably be allergic. I'm allergic to carpet beetles... *shrug*

Yeah, they are known to bite.
I believe lady beetles are the ones you usually see pictures of in huge masses that people forewarn not to try to touch because they'll bite at you

I'm in a long distance relationship with my beau and that can be difficult enough. I'm glad she has you guys to keep her company through it.

Thanks. We have an apartment lined up, but it won't be ready until after we get down there. Almost a week after we get down there. But at least it's a place! :D
