Can I get some opinions on my current avatar for the new PM outfit?

You look like a cotton candy bee. It's pretty adorable. But your hair is waaay more pink than anything else you have on. I'm anal about hair color matching so it would bother me, not sure if it bothers you.

Yeah, I didn't really take the time to pick out color codes for the hair. I just threw a color on for general feel. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have a matching hair color at all and would stick to my signature gray color, but then this isn't my avatar (even if it really is). Since this is an avatar contest, I want the contest mule to look the part.

That makes total sense. It is always hard giving up something that feels so natural for your avatar.

I tend to either match the outfit, or pick a natural hair color that I like.

I have varying shades of white that I use.

I'm going to change the hair color to the items in the avatar later when I get home.

I just think it's easier to build an avatar when I'm not worrying about matching hair colors. It adds so much stress to the creation process feeling the need to balance the bulky hairstyles with colors in the avatar so I tend to just stick with my gray style because it's comfortable and it's what I'm used to. I also don't change my avatar's eye color or skin tone because I feel like it's better to be consistent with your base.

I've only changed my skin tone once. It feels very weird to have a different skin tone. Like I'm not me.

I don't change skin tone very often, but I've used different skin items a lot. xD

ARGGGHHH!!! I erased to soon and smeared the ink on my art! Luckily, it's just a tiny area. But I think it's time for me to head to bed before I screw anything else up.

So I've been playing with the hair for like half an hour now and I'm giving myself a headache. None of the items are the exact same shade of pink, which means that if I go with any specific pink, the hair becomes overwhelming. I think I'm just going to have to drop the highlight color and hope that the non-existent highlight evens out the hair so it's not so bold.

What about a headband/bow to spread out the color and even it out?

I don't. but if it was temp dye that washes out in one washing. It might be fun to :D

These two are orchid and order, a bit more pink to them. Orchid kind of has a tan/pink feel to me.

I'm probably going to pick a neutral color for the hair. It's just not working for me.

Maybe a blonde color? Or a sand?

okay :] just thought i'd toss some colors out there for you.

I haven't tried them yet, but I spent a good hour or so playing with the pinks that are in the outfit and the hair is either too bright or too dull. I even thought about using other colors, like the yellow and the beach and those looked even worse. I just think a hair color that is separate from the color scheme will soften the look, so I'll play with that later.

Hm. I think the pink feels more overwhelming because there's just a big glob of it on the top of your head. Is there any way you could add a little more of some other colors?

I was just trying to avoid excess clutter because there's a lot of clutter on the actual outfit. I might try a different hairstyle and see if that makes a difference.
