There is a lot of pressure to do your best because obviously you want to win, but it's a game, just remember that. Be yourselves and have fun with the challenges. You don't have to submit the first outfit you come up with for a challenge, and also look for inspiration in a myriad of different places. Especially for some of the challenges that are coming up this cycle. If there's a genre challenge, don't be afraid to look at that genre from different time periods or if there's a cosplay, look to see if there are remakes of the movie to allow you more options for possible outfits. It's going to be a lot of fun! |

I'm a bit relieved I wasn't chosen as a contestant, I wasn't quite sure if I had it in me or not. :lol: I look forward to judging, though!

A bit of googling tells me that it may be sourced from Terry Pratchett, who apparently said, "The key to success is to be yourself as hard as you can." (Which further googling says is from Good Omens, which may mean it's Neil Gaiman's advice as well.) |
