Well I haven't been satisfied with my avvies in a while - I think I just ran out of ideas - I've liked having to do prompts because it gives me ideas of stuff I wouldn't think to ever do before.

I like them too. I also love seeing how different people interpret the same things. One of these day'll I'll get really creative and come up with one of these cool contests. XD
It's a relief how he passed. He wasn't well. He could barely speak or remember people. So in a way it was like he was gone already. I was ok at the Wake and happy with my memories, until I saw my daughter reach for a tissue to wipe her eyes and nose. We both started crying when My uncle said how much he loved all his Grandchildren and Great Grand Children and read the list of all the pet names. We each had different pet names and he would remember them all (over 20 of us). Lilith was so blessed to know him before he got sick. When he was still himself. I never even thought of how special taking her to go swimming with him every week was to both of us. That man LOVED babies and was very old world so not afraid to go up and talk to strangers and play peek-a-boo with kids on the bus. She'll be 12 on Sept 12th. :) already in grade 7. . . and taller than mommy. Which really thank goodness because I'm 5 1. She's currently 5 3 and still growing. |
@Maria- find a painting without people in it and do a cosplay. Thats usually what I do when I lack inspiration.

Well a cosplay with people is too simple in my head. I find the without more up for interpritation.

Just wanted to let you guys know that even though scores will be up tonight before I go to bed, I'm going to wait until Saturday to put up the next challenge. Since the next one is so much more work I'm going to give you the extra time to finish it.

Or you know what, maybe they won't be up tonight. Still waiting on scores from CK:, Cherry Who?:, and Annsterdam:. Either way, I'm going to give you about an extra day and a half to put everything together.

my condolences also Nephie. My nonno past away just over a month ago and it sounds like a similar story.. minus the having a kid part.... i dont have a kid... but it was better in the end that he left because he wasnt able to be himself.

It was fun. One of the played is my age the rest ate middle age. My age Guy is cute. . Lol.

Hey guys, sorry I'm part of the reason scores are so late. >> This was my first week of college, and considering I've never been to school before (and my professors are homework nuts [:P]), it's been a challenging week. Add to that that I was away for the weekend (with lots of homework to do in my downtime), and PM completely slipped my mind. [sweat] My scores have eben sent in now, though.
Also, I love the idea of cosplaying a painting that doesn't have people in it! I'd really like to see the results if any of you decide to do that. PM me or ping me if you do! And if no one uses Starry Night, I might just try that for my next avatar. [ninja] Van Gogh fan here. |
I made a Starry Night inspired entry to BSW's contest. ^.^ It was pretty cool. I can only imagine what some people would create for it. :3

I would hate to have to submit scores without her because I love her perspective on entries, so I'm going to give it another day or two. New challenge will be up Wednesday at the latest. |
