Mikio 10-08-2014 04:48 PM

wow biological rhythms? like the hare and the lynx example? or like humans and therefore beyond my comprehension?

thank you for asking about my bustle! here it is:

ill be wearing it over some plain black skirts to give them a little something fairly easily whilst maintaining their practicality.

I've seen the hare and the lynx example, pretty cool. I love those kinds of illusions. We are studying biological rhythms and sleep [:D] My essay is on circadian rhythms, endogenous pacemakers and exogenous zeitgebers.

Wow, looks so elegant! I really like it. I bet that will look magnificent [love]

sjacklene 10-09-2014 01:26 AM

how cute! Did you make those?

yeah so way way way out of my league. lol. human biology is so complicated. i think ill stick to the water cycle. lol. but if you feel like explaining it to us all so that you earn the gold for it, go for it! that's going to be a lot of gold. lol.

and thank you! i love how it turned out and i think it was a great way to use up the last of my unicorn fabric (i designed it and ordered it from spoonflower) I have some left over zombie fabric and im going to make another with that. i just need black lace first... or i need to dye my white lace black...

That is awesome. I am still not that good sewing. I wish I was. I can do basic things but that is it... I need to go sign up for one of those sewing classes at Hobby Lobby. That is one thing youtube has yet to teach me... It doesn't matter how many people I watch turn pants into skirts, I cannot do it. LOL.

its not even november yet. so your courses must be overwhelming with the essays.

although... there were times where i worked in really bad places where i missed school. but i love my job now, so i dont miss school at all. so you should be over it in a few years, top.

maybe you should start with something easier? like a bag or a pillow? or making a skirt from a pattern?

sjacklene 10-13-2014 01:22 AM

I can make pillows, hem pants/skirts, Basic things. lol. Right now I can't even sew at all... Something is wrong with my machine and no one knows what it wrong... I don't know where to talk broken machines to to get them fix... It isn't like it is BROKEN broken... Something is wrong with the bobbin... The bottom thread isn't pulling tight and I have a beginner machine and I bet there is no way to fix it.

bloodstainedwings 10-13-2014 10:51 AM

it might just need to be cleaned. it might also need to be oiled. do you not have a sewing machine store near by? sometimes going in and just talking to people is super helpful. they can tell you where to take your machine and if you should or if its something you can fix at home.

sjacklene 10-13-2014 06:57 PM

About a week or two after it had broken I had gone into JoAnn's Fabric and no one knew what it wrong with it. There is an embroidery store a couple towns over I could go and ask, but I'm not sure if it would be much help. I am going to Charlotte on Thursday, so I might see if I can find a store down there and ask. If not, I'll just save my money and buy a new one. I have had it for about 4 years and it was one of the cheap beginner sewing machines from Brother. Not that is was a bad machine. It has done what I needed it too. It was just their cheapest machine they make.

Kirin Rosenbaum 10-13-2014 08:48 PM

I guess it's time to update it.

oh alright. ill admit that i have broken my fair share of machines. so i am of the opinion of just get a new one. but, i have always tried to fix it myself.

sjacklene 10-14-2014 02:19 AM

Yeah... I have no idea how to fix it. I will probably just buy a new one. lol.

So this is what I'm going for... plus the pingu penguins... I couldn't find them in the DAC but it doesn't matter. lol. I am only missing the White valentina skirt, the posh skirt and the kappa trouble beaker nose. Other than that, what do you think?
