I'm new, but I think I look pretty good!
 

I joined less than a day ago, totally fresh and from scratch. I'm trying to put together a purple and gold avatar, as is probably evident. Since I don't know much about the different items on the site, I thought I would ask for people's opinions. How am I doing so far, relating to how people who are well established on the site?

Does anyone have suggestions for items I could put on here, or advice about how the layering works? I really don't want to buy things I won't be able to put to use, since I'm so limited. I downloaded the MAC thing, and I'm starting to play with it, but I'm kind of wondering how accurate it is compared to how items really look when equipped on the site. Like on Tektek, things layer wrong, glitches happen, etc.

I'm kind of wondering where the heck all the gloves are too, and if there is any way to filter the stores to see what they have any better, since it just seems like a big long list... ah, what else? Oh. Is there no vend here? Only an exchange? And if so, how the heck are you supposed to know the value of anything? It seems like a pretty vague science, but there's a good chance I'm not understanding certain site elements just yet.

actually. i like it. its original and fresh. i like the yellow as opposed to the gold aspect. but i think you can play around with layering some more. there are arm bands that would work in the accentuate store. and some yellow for your head would be good too.

some of the layering on the MAC doesnt work when it does on the site. specially in the shoes department. but you will get the hang of it eventually. the most of the layering is pretty accurate, and if you play around with it some more im sure you will get the hang of it.

as for the value of things in the exchange, there is a price guide to help you out. but the regular store items are valued based on their price in the stores, people selling those items on the exchange will have it at a reduced price more then likely.

oh and if you buy something you can or dont use, you can sell it back to the stores or sell it on the exchange.
