Looking for constructive criticism
 

Hello! I'm attempting to make my avi into (classic) (Super) Sailor Moon and I would like pointers, suggestions, and etc on how my avis going so far. I still have a few garnishes I would like to buy, but I think I'm at the point where I could use other's intuition on how it's coming along. I guess I would like to know if I look anything like Sailor Moon first off, lol, and if there's any details I've missed so far. Thanks in advance for replies. :)

YES: I am getting a tiara, I've just not gotten enough gold yet~ - Got it now!

Edit: I'm planning on getting items for Classic, Super, and Eternal Sailor Moon.

so far your doing very well >.< Is one of the garnishes a gold circlet with a ruby gem of some kind? Thats the only thing I could think of adding

the golden veil has an option where you can wear just the circlet and i think its exactly what your outfit needs.

The hair is too bright of a yellow, I think. Other than that and a tiara, it looks great! =D

I think the hair needs to be a lighter color and the tiara would be good. Maybe get blue eyes for your avatar? She has blue eyes then there is also maybe get the lips like mine? She usually wore like lipgloss or something.

Ok, I changed my lips to red (which I've been debating anyway) and I toned down the hair just a bit. As for the eyes... I LOVE them just the way they are, so I doubt I'm going to change them, that's just my personal preference. :ninja: I still do appreciate all the input immensely. :heart:

As for the veil, I think I prefer "Gold Ruby Decor Tiara" over it, because it has the red gem in the middle, though it is nice to have options so I will keep that in mind. :heart:

I've been debating on getting the "Crescent Moon" item, does anyone think that would be better then the "A Night in the Graveyard" background that I have now?

Crescent moon would be good if you ditched the stars, but I like the current background personally.

I think the ruby tiara you mentioned would be best >.< I like the background you have but the crescent moon would be far more fitting

i think instead of the merry boots maybe some variation of the Heeled Space Boots would look better

Alight! I've gotten my tiara! I also got a rose (it was only 40 gold) that I'll probably be wearing off and on. Only two items left to get and then I can consider my cosplay complete! :heart: Thanks for the posts so far~

As for the boots, I looked the space boots up and I feel I simply prefer the ones I have with socks right now, that's just my personal choice, thanks for the suggestion regardless. :heart:

the hair looks a little really really yellow! maybe tone it down with a slight tan color perhaps?

The problem is that her hair IS super duper yellow. :sweat: So I can't tone it down too much.

yeah its not that yellow, it doesn't match her little crescent thing on the staff and your hair is really ostentatious and blends into the avatar

The hair may not be so bright in the anime, but the hair Naoko Takeuchi drew is very bright yellow.
I do think the avatar would look better if the hair would be a little bit darker, but it still looks the way it should right now.

The problem with the hair is that it varies so widely... :C in the anime is tends to whip back and forth between normal and super highlighter yellow (especially in Stars for some reason, seems to be very yellow). In the manga...well, if you dig deep enough into all the various sketches you can find Usagi with white, yellow, pink, and I even found one picture with brown hair, all drawn by Naoko Takeuchi herself. In Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (the live action version if you're not familiar) her wig tends to be more of a normal sandy blond color. However, if you look at Sera Myu (the musicals) the wigs for Sailor moon actresses are BRIGHT BANANA yellow. The video games also tend to have her hair more on the bright side, but of course there are over 30 official games (and not many released outside of Japan) but since there are so many the color can vary. So, I guess the color you choose depends on what you think of as Sailor Moon. For right now I'm going to leave the hair as is, but when I get my final item I'll fiddle with different colors until I find a happy medium.
