something amiss...
 

i feel like something is a miss with my avatar... but i have no idea what... i love the colour combination and i feel like it flows... maybe its the head layering? maybe its the hidden mustache ... which i love... what are your thoughts?

please be as harsh/critical as you dare to be and please give as much advice as you can.

Hmm... There are two colors that have no match. The green on your head, and the pink on your shoes. This could be causing an imbalance. The orchid color around the waist might be making it too busy in that area as well. I do love your color combination.

do you have any suggestions on the foot layering? right now im wearing the black pirate boots over the orchid sandles.

or a better way of covering the "eye" on the dove hat with something in the right colour? or a better way of layering so that i can still have balance but better layering?

Well, there are a few ways you could go about the head. You could add more of that green to the rest, as it seems to flow pretty well with your current scheme. Any of the other butterfly ornaments could be considered for if their colors work better or are more easily integrated. As for a specific different item, though, I can't think of an item of that size that falls in that place... sorry. : (

The feet... I don't know how the orchid sandals layer, but I know some items you could try out. Black boots similar in size and form: nightstalker boots (a bit tall, but if you wanted to add more of that green) voodoo boots (also have green accent available) and black mechanic boots have a chance at fitting the bill. Good luck in any case, I wish I could think of more.

i chose the pirate boots because it had the hint of the pirate purple which matches exactly with the purple in the rest of my outfit... to use just plain boots would mean that i would have to try to add the pirate purple by my feet in some other way... i dont think that is going to work out given the limited selection of pirate purple items.

i can try and work in a darker jade colour.... but the sea green and jade are essentially the same colour as far as i can tell... maybe i need to adjust my colour contrast on my computer....
