I downloaded Winzip and the creator, but I can't open it. If I open the creator, it won't show any items or avatar basses or anything, just the creator. What do I do?

@Ankh: When it is opened in Winzip, do you do anything, or just try to click on Avatar Creator.jar? You need to choose extract in Winzip first, and choose a place, like your desktop, to extract it to. Then it ought to work. :3 |

Pretty much, here are two text files. itemsmOriginal.txt itemsmSorted.txt The one that's called itemsmSorted has all the items from the first two stores (Clothes Wonderland and Clothes Palace) in the store order. xD I need the items from the rest of the stores added. What I do is open both of them in NotePad, and have the Menewsha shops open. I go down the list. I copy and paste the next store item into itemsmSorted from itemsmOriginal. Then I change where it says "Store" to a two letter code based on the store it comes from. My system for that is: Clothes wonderland = CW The clothes Palace = CP Fashion shop = FS Petal Paradise = PP Menewshan imports = MI Toy store = TS Jewel's dream = JD Lingerie Land = LL Weapon store = WS After the f or the t, I write down the name of the item without spaces, the way it is in the store. After that, there's a space and then the price of the item. No commas. Oh. If you come across an item that isn't actually in the list, just make a new entry in the proper spot, prefix it with a '*' and for those two numbers just write 0 0. Could you please place the type of java program necessary to run this in the front page for newbies like me? I read a few pages back about Java Virtual Machine. I downloaded it but it didn't work for me. Maybe I downloaded it from the wrong site?

If not, go to www.java.com, choose the download link, and then the download appropriate for your operating system. Then after that's been installed, try to open mine. ^^ |

Yep. I have separate files for male and female. I'm uploading my two female ones right now. :3
itemsf.txt itemsfChanged.txt If you can see, in itemsf.txt, there are lots and lots of lines of text. Each line correlates to a different item, and has all the information that the program needs to display the item. The information from itemsfChanged needs to be copied into that, to the end of itemsf, and then the stuff that I need added and changed needs to be added and changed. xD Do not change where it gives a code for the event type, like VDay7, or Welcome. Those need to stay the same. :3 And for the price for anything in itemsfChanged, just put 0, because I'm not going to keep them current with pricing. >.< I need to go now, or I'd give you more detailed instructions. Check out what I wrote to Chu to see if that helps at all. Oh, and also can you add in the new items in the appropriate places, set up like this: *ItemName group 0 0 StoreCode f Item name price Just guess on the group. >.< That's the layer that it will be on and corresponds to a group menu in the avatar creator. I didn't name the heaven and hell gear. That's how it was when I got it from the admins. :p And sometimes I shorted names like the stupid basic gear. D: Those have long names.
It looks like you're doing fine. ^^ The changed files are just altered versions of itemsf.txt, so you're doing fine. :3 Keep the filenames capitalized the same way that they are in the original. >.< Otherwise the computer can't always open the files if they're named wrong. D: Is very nice. <3 You don't have to redo all the female stuff; I have that already. But if you could find the event items, donation items, and welcome items scattered in the itemsf.txt that comes with the avatar creator, and format them like that, that's what I really need. :3 |
