layering question
 
can i layer pants under a skirt under a dress?
can i layer a dress over a top?
can i layer shorts over long socks?

any help with these questions would be much appreciated. i dont want to make any major purchases without knowing the answers to these questions.

I haven't actually tried any of that but I imagine it would work. Sorry if this isn't very helpful.

I believe all those work.
Though the dress will go over both pants and skirts.

I don't think so.
Only a coat layers over a dress.
A top layers under a dress.

I'm wearing a dress over a shirt and then the boa too. And yes, a coat will layer over everything, I just tried it. ^-^

All I know for sure is that skirts can be worn over pants.
