You have to earn gold like everyone else... But you can always open an art shop, yo get good gold from that...

what item are the hounds that you have on called

They are the black heartface fox and the white heartface fox. They were event items from Valentine's Day 2008; they are no longer available anywhere except from other members - you can look for them in the Marketplace.
