I fixed up the lotus a little since that picture, since it seemed not quite round enough. But yeah, I like it. And I usually destroy most my chibi drawings. :ninja: lol

I still need to finish the drawing of my own character, though. I got it all sketched out, but haven't really decided what he should be wearing, yet. But I had just suddenly gotten it in my head that I had to draw him in that one pose, and then took awhile to figure out how to get the anatomy right. lol ><;; Ended up doing the pose myself, and taking a picture in the mirror. ^^;; But hey, it really helped.

I've been trying to draw an OC of mine for ages, but I can never manage to get his clothes to look right. :sweat:
And I can't ask someone else to draw it for me either, because I don't know how to describe his clothes! :headdesk:

Haha. I know what you mean. I get like that, too. I can like imagine it in my head, but can never seem to put it down on the paper right. Other people might try, but its never right for me. :/ Its annoying, really. ><;; Feel like I should be able to just sketch it out easy, but nope.

This one i'll have to research a little bit. He's a punkish character, so I need to figure out what kind of clothes he'd be wearing, since i'm not all too familiar with the style enough to know right away what to draw. I am thinking maybe a skater like look, or possible more punk, but not entirely sure. Currently can just think that i'll want like maybe two belts, and he'd be the type with skinny jeans on.

Happens to me all the time, the staying up late part. Mostly because when I'm ready to head off to bed, that's when most of my friends start waking up and arriving online. :sweat:

Yep. I'm bad at drawing clothes, so I could never get that fluttering feeling to it right! My OC wears a white robe-ish sort of clothing, but fits tightly, with four flaps of clothe on the back that makes him look a bit like a moth...grrr it's so hard to describe that feel to it! Even when I can picture it perfectly in my mind. :gonk:

Mhmm. I tend to find that I can be exhausted at like 9 or 10 and would totally crash if I layed down, but I stay awake and then later, like now, end up being pretty awake, and then have trouble sleeping. Honestly should just go to bed as soon as I start feeling tired. Would make for a much better sleep schedule.

Yeah, I suck at drawing clothing. I am horrible when it comes to folds and what not. Uugh. I dont understand how people are soo good at it, really. I wish I could draw amazingly. Haha. I also have trouble with making hair look really nice. :/ It always seems so characterless and unpleasant looking when I do it.

Me too. I stay up to around 4, and would sometimes not end up being able to sleep until nearly 6. Should really just go to bed at 2 or 3 when my eyes are feeling droopy. But as usual, I'm too entranced online to heed my body. x__x;

I agree! I wonder how those people do it! I practice and practice, but they still look awkward. :(
I'm okay at drawing long, straight hair, but am an complete idiot when I try to do curls and braids and whatnot. >_>

Haha. I usually start making myself go to bed around this time. Tend to try not to stay up past like 3 or 4. I also have work, so I need to be decently well rested, and I hate sleeping in late. I rather like getting up early, because I enjoy that part of the day, but I never can enjoy it if I am up early, because I end up being too tired and go back to bed. xP;;

I adore the kind of hair that is all detailed and pretty and wispy. Or the big, nice curls. I gawk at it and wonder how the heck they taught themselves to do that. Drives me nuts, but I think that after a ton and ton of practice, maybe i'll improve. I usually get too impatient with my drawings to draw frequently anymore. But I want to make myself practice and improve, because then i'll enjoy it more. :yes:

I dont really have a style. lol At some point during my doodles in my notes at school, I kind of started a style, and actually really loved it, but I haven't really been drawing much since then to really keep up with it. I also am stuck in realism, so I find it hard to not add that to stuff, which makes me too critical of a lot of the drawings. ><;; Perfectionism can be such a hinderance sometimes.

I wanna draw in a very mixed style, there are a lot of artists that I want to derive from to create a unique style for my self.

I don't really like mornings, very cold during the winter. XD I prefer waking up at around noon or maybe 2 or 3 in the afternoon. ^__^;;

I love big curls! That's actually what my OC has. Long, wavy and slightly-curly hair all the way down to his waist. A little poofy too. <333 Sadly all I can do is make them look flat and limp. -__-;

I like your style, it looks great. Mine's very generic and plain, as they all came from various random manga for the most part. I can't draw realism because I lack the patience to do all the details...

I don't get any time to draw for myself anymore.

@ Fading - I prefer to never get up later than 10. Otherwise I feel like i'm just totally wasting my day away. Something about being up early that really makes the day that much longer.

Here is what it looks like. But yeah, curls are so hard to draw.

I prefer realism sometimes. The human body is layed out so perfectly matched up, that its almost like following a forumla when you draw it. The features are all in the exact spots they're meant to be, based on spacy and what lines up with what. And the bodies bones line up with other bones and what not to have everything be even and balanced just right, in order to be able to better understand how its supposed to properly look. I loove it. :drool: Its also fun to draw, I think. :] I enjoy details.

You haven't seen the bulk of it, most of my latest art is over at a certain H-Foundry.

Aw, don't put down your art.~ One day you'll wake up, pick up a pen, and just go for it and you'll love what comes out. I think that it could definitely help if you go outside your comfort zone when you draw. Try making a few quick sketch profiles of random figures or caricatures. Someone with poofy hair, with a big nose, etc. It might help you figure out how to get that hair right.
