That shouldn't happen. They should be on two different layers, and the wings should layer over the top of the background.

no i meant dark purple with a almost black background.. tens to make them meld or maybe im wrong.. i could be..

Not sure. I think the highlights in them should make them stand out, but it probably won't have the same affect as it does on the white.
