I wish it as well. The job market here is competitive... so depending on which elementary school you go to, you have options for which middle school you can attend. Your grades and the school you attend determine which high school you attend. High school is the most stressful year. Once you get into university, your life is set and you can relax. However getting there takes a lot of hard work. So having my students stress that having a B in my class only will keep them from getting into the high school of their choice that will lead to a better job is sad. However I envy their knowledge. These middle school kids are know college level math and know it well. I just with that they had hobbies or something... to learn what makes them happy... what makes life enjoyable...

Same here... yet if I hadn't messed up my life as I did, then I wouldn't be as grateful for many things that I am thankful for now... so I guess I wouldn't after all...

Suona - They can try to choose... but if they don't go to the right university, then there are some jobs that are beyond their reach. As a general rule though they can. The good jobs that make life easier though are hard pressed for. Koreans know their limitations and are smart enough to not have too many kids. So their population isn't growing which for this small country is a good thing right now.

@ maiden - That's good that they're keeping their population down! That's a huge problem with the world is that people keep reproducing and reproducing and we don't have room or the resources to support that. -_- It's called having less kids, people. Try it.

I agree. I'm thinking if I ever meet the right guy... just one kid will be fine. I'll make sure my family is involved in church socials or something.... that way no one grows up socially awkward... but ... yeah... less kids...
