D8 Mine feel like they're just a half inch too tight around the ears. It really is annoying.

xD; Be thankful for that, it sucks so much. I am badly near-sighted and my astigmatism is terrible. I can't read a lot of things without my glasses on and I certainly can't drive without 'em.

I used to really think glasses were cool. I own frames with regular glass for lenses instead of prescription lenses.

Mine get really tight at certain times. No idea why, but it drives me nuts.
And I need them for driving as well, and basically everything. I'm nearsighted, too. xD
I used to never wear them, and I'd get horrible headaches if I went anywhere with strong light. Like outside, or in the city, etc.
I can read, etc, and I don't have astigmatism. My mom does, but she's basically blind without hers.
Bad eyes tend to run through her side. xD
My aunt's had LASIK, but it failed, and her eyes are bad as ever now. ;w;

Scene kid. ;w;
Kidding. xD;
A few of my friends do that, but it really ticks me off when they buy thick frames with nothing in them.
Just a quirk of mine, I guess. :P

My vision's pretty good. I only need my glasses when I'm tired or when I need to see pretty far..
I do like them, actually. I just don't have good eyebrows for glasses. My eyebrows do this weird thing where instead of slightly sloping up, then going back down, they go horizontal then down so it looks a bit funny. That's why I cut my banks. My eyebrows are meanies.

I used to always wear contacts except at night, but for some reason I've been wearing my glasses almost exclusively since Winter break. I have two pairs I switch between since one I need for driving or watching TV if I want to actually see the details and the other I wear while reading or using the computer.

Tired Ise is tired after shoveling over 2 feet of snow in the last 24 hours. :collapses:
As for why.. uh, there was an accident when I was 5 that involved a knife + my cornea. >_____>;; As in, right into the cornea, about a millimeter or two to the side and I'd have a cataract in that eye and be blind. But, to my luck, it wasn't and they stitched it back shut. Took a month of wearing an eye patch, months more of anti-biotic eyedrops and wearing glasses ever since to heal it all up, though no one has been able to visibly see the scar for a long time. Pity the vision in my right eye is now worse than the left due to overcompensation most of my life. xD;
|
Where does Ise live that has over two feet of snow? o:
D:
That sucks! But at least you got lucky and didn't go blind.
Though, you had to wear an eye patch? o:
That part sounds cool! You could have been like a pirate for halloween back then when you had it! <8D

Aah. Eyesight talk?
I was just talking to a friend about that this week.
Yeah, my eyesight isn't 20-20. I can't see far off with detail. Its just fuzzy enough that I can't make out details of anything that is like 10 or so feet or more ahead of me. Its not a perfect image, really. I can still sit in my living room and look across our yard and make out leaves on the tree and the cracks between the fences. But I can't see each individual leaf and I can't make out words from a distance. :/ If ever I put on friends glasses, though, then I can see everything perfectly. Its so amazing. I might have to end up getting glasses for when i'm driving, though.

My RL self avatars are always really bland compared to my regular avatars. :lol: Goes to show how 'normal' I am in RL. XP
I wear contacts -- without them I'd be legally blind, I'm fairly certain. My contacts are -7.5, so if you know anything about contacts, you'll realize that that's really bad. :sweat: I have the kind you wear 24/7 for a month and I love them. They do get dry during the winter because of the lack of moisture in the air and from sitting in front of space heaters, but most of the time I love having 'normal' vision from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep. :D

Same here, monstah.
But its because i'm always looking at close things. Reading, looking at the computer, doing homework, etc. But I dont look really far off that often. My dad is a truck driver, so he looks distances all the time, so he can see perfectly far off, but he can't see close very well at all. And my mom is like me and can't see far of that well.
I can usually see far enough to like make out the board at the front of the desk for notes, so thats at least still good. But it depends on the teachers writing and how strong the pen is, sometimes. If its like or smaller, then its hard to read. And sometimes when I try to change the channel for the TV, its hard to read the little words on the guide that say what are what. If I squint a little then its much easier, though.
We have new dresses? What?
Or did those old ones get re-vised?

hehe. Hatake, my eyes are REALLY bad. And they keep getting worse. :/ I want LASIK, but 1) it's too expensive for me right now and 2) I'm afraid they'll fuck up my eyesight. T_T

I can see better with my right eye. My left eye is like twice as bad. It is what hinders my vision the most. I really should get glasses for driving, though, just to be safe.
Thats funny. I was just looking at them on MAC yesterday and thinking that they're such ugly dresses. Haha.
What shop are they in? Are they super expensive? :x

@Silver: My dad's had it done and the only problems he has are that he gets halos around lights at night. Otherwise, he loves it. I've heard both sides, and I just can't decide whether it's worth the risk or not. But my eyes are so crappy that I figure it couldn't make them that much worse. XP
@Suo: they're in Wonderland, and are 441g each. :yes:

lol Yup, just found them.
They were soo hideous! Nice to see them redone, just like those bows
Hmm. Some of them still look a little iffy to me. Just like the colors or the pixeling or something. But some of them are very nice. I'll have to get them if they suit my avi one of these days.
