So okay.
I come over to my boyfriend's to take him to a bookstore.
And he, and hsi three brothers are hanging in the livingroom, and one says;
'Hey, Ryan. =D Stay and watch us beat the hell out of each other.'
And come to find out, they'd all bought /boxing gloves/ and mouthpieces, and are now about to go out and promptly kick the snot out of each other.
I'm cowering in my boyfriend's room. I can't even hope to watch. D: I just can't /watch/ fights. Oh. Ugh. -shiver- I hate violence.
And he didn't /tell/ me. He wanted me to watch them beat each other!
D:
I don't know what to do. ;3;
Help?
I know I can't...like. Just stop it. >>;

Discuss:
Bad situations.
Not being told something that /might/ have made you change your mind.
Weird familial rituals. O_o;
Strawberries. c: Cause I want some. D:

Leave the bed room, walk out the door and drive off. If he asks why explain to him nicely that that kind of behavior bothers you. However the more you stay there the more you will be upset, and the more likely you will unclear in your feelings. If our boyfriend doesn't understand, I would say next time you go to his house, you can always wait in the car for him to come out side.

But mostly, remember, you don't have to be there, you can just leave.

Well I think I would laugh until it got violent then I would yell at them and scold them to stop. Me and my brother used to that but not so violent it would just be a slap fight. Usually he would win because I was smaller

If your not comfortable with it, your boyfriend should understand. When you guys are alone, after you've calmed down (perhaps after a day?), you should discuss these things with him.

I don't like boxing normally either so I don't think I would like to watch a bootleg version of it. xD But seriously if your boyfriend respects you he should be okay with you not watching since you don't like violence.

Hmm, I guess the closest I can come is that some of my friends define appropriate language differently in front of different groups of people and sometimes I have to mediate to keep them from killing each other. That sort of thing. Nothing awkward light stopping fist fights. When I was little my brother did like to throw himself into doors as a form of slapstick comedy. He'd also do kick dancing like Dick Van Dike or something, and he does not look like the kind of kid who would so it was pretty funny.

Well the gloves and mouthpieces suggest they don't want to just make it into a fist fight, which means they don't want to actually hurt each other, save a few bruises, which fade releatively quick.

Being uncomfortable around violence is fine, so long as you don't try and press your opinions on violence on them.
