So, what HAVE you done this summer?
Unless you're in a year-round school, or you're in the part of the world where it isn't quite summer just yet, I want to know what you guys have done to pass the time. =0
Did you get a summer job? Read? Draw? Summer school? Or, just sit around all day and play video games? xD Me? Well, I've been looking for a summer job, but no seems to want to hire me because of my age... I'm 17, and in high school, so I can't work during the weekdays (once school stars) and I can't work on weekends at most places because it's required to be a night shift, and I can't do that until I'm 18. D= I'm lucky enough to not have to go to summer school, so that was a huge plus for me. =3 I have some summer reading I have to do, still, but, other than that, I've just been lounging around playing video games. xD So, yes, I want to hear about your summer. =) Have you enjoyed yourself so far? |
Here in Singapore, in Asia, our holidays are a bit different. We have a two month holiday in late October to January the next year.
The next holidays which last say...one week will start in about 3 weeks. At least during Summer do you have homework? Because the teachers pile on LOADS during our holidays. =( Edit; Oh and nice avatar you got there, linkfreak131! |
Sat arround, watching my life slip by, then went to Florida, Georgia, and South Korea. Now I'm back to sitting arround watchign my life go by.

I went to two music festivals (one in the last weekend of June, the other was in the first weekend of July in Germany). I spent three weeks taking care of my younger brother and playing house with my boyfriend because both my and his parents were on vacation. And I ordered everything I need to make a carving in a drinking horn, which is what I'll be doing after I finish my exam retakes :3
Oh, I also studied for those retakes and went out with friends a few times. And I attended a biker-treffen a few weeks ago, with a performance of two cover bands. |

Summer is ending too soon. I wish I could say I did something really exciting, but I mostly just stayed at home, got a lot of reading done, watched some good TV, and went to see family. *sigh*

well, i took a summer class... but since that ended i've been just sitting and playing video games... :D

I read a few books and learned how to make hairpin lace. I started making curtains and cut out a dress I will sew next time I get a couple of days off in a row. It is a good summer.

I don't go to school. I passed all my classes. XD All i need is my GED.

All I've done this summer is work and e-mail my wanna-be girlfriend over facebook.

i've been trying to see a bunch of friends but we are all so busy i've been studying and working around the house, as my working surrogate and then on the net i've been on vacation twice; a cruise on the Mediterranean, and michigan for a family reunion i enter my senior year this fall, adn boy, am i not looking forward to it >>' |
Work. I don't get vacation time until sometime between November - February and Summer's our busiest time of year.
But looking at all the flight prices, I'm really really glad that I don't have to battle the crowds for vacations this time of year, they're so much cheaper off season. |
I invited my friend and her sister to my mother's province and we bathed in the spring and in the beach.
But majority of my summer was spent reading stories from internet sites XD |

I worked at my church (as a janitor), read a lot and messed around the computer. Overall, I have been pretty lazy.

I went to camp and did horse back riding, archery and swimming
I went to amusments and water parks many times My birthday was on Sunday too :3 |
I'm currently in summerschool. I have like a month til school starts. And It wont even be that long of a summer since we still have school shopping to do and so much more. T____T

So far this summer I've read 6 books. One of these books I had to read for my summer homework. The only other thing I do is play video games, tennis once a week, and run every day.

I've been working, mostly, and chillin' with my baby.
Yesterday I went to Universal Studios but left early because it was way too hot. Then I went swimming with my sister and boyfriend and his brother. Other than that, I've been going to the movies and just enjoying not going to school. :] |
