Do you cry in public or like with people around?

I don't usually cry because.. I'm not really that kind of person.. but even if I did, I'd cry alone. I don't like people seeing my negative feelings. Sort of embarassing to me. :| I also feel uncomfortable and weird.

Baja doesn't usually cry either, and Never in public.

I don't know... it's not that I purposely avoid crying in public, but it rarely ever happens. I remember crying once at my high school graduation while I was watching the "memories" tape, and once when a friend of mine died... he was only 18. Other than that? My own best friend has never seen me cry :P If I do it, it's usually in private and quite quietly. It's not that I'm embarrassed... I guess I unconsciously hate being viewed as vulnerable.

Only when in extreme pain or surrounded only by family. If I'm really emotionally distraught I really don't care where I am, I've just never been in a desperate enough situation where I felt inclined to cry in very public places.

I dislike crying in public. It's rather embarrassing and turns everyone's attention in your direction. It's the worst when it's over something stupid. Ugh, too many flashbacks. The only time I find it ok is when I go out to see a movie and everyone else is crying. That's ok. In 6th grade we read Where the Red Fern Grows and I made sure to finish it outside of class so I wouldn't be crying in front of my group.

I've only ever cried in school when I was really frustrated and emotional and really can't help it. <_< I really hate doing that in public. It's just really awkward later, because I feel like people who see me cry will look at me differently.

I came rather close when we were watching a movie once, I kept having to look down and cough and stuff to cover it up. So yeah, I really try not to cry in front of people.

I'll cry in public if I need to. All the attention is definitely overwhelming though. D':

I think it's embarrasing too, and I try avoid it, but a few friends have seen me cry a couple of times..

If I told someone I knew in real life that I was actually a big cry-baby they might find it hard to believe (except for my best friend, who's seen me cry for 3 days before. xD )

I don't like crying in public, and on the outside I don't look like the kind of person who would be that sensitive. But most of the time I cant control my tears, when I have that feeling that my heart is crawling up my throat and my eyes are slightly tingling, I know that I will cry and I can't stop it.
Whenever I find myself crying in public I usually take advantage of my long hair to hide it. :3

Yup, I'm the same as you. I don't cry in front of others unless its something huge because it just makes everything worse. I would usually cry alone so others wouldn't feel bad for me or say something negative.

I don't cry an awful lot anyway, so it would have to be something pretty touching to have me cry in front of people.
I have on only one occasion that i remember, not so long ago, cried before one of my friends.

One time I cried in public, all the way from my college, in front of everyone in the bus exchange, everyone on my bus. :/ I wasn't really embarrassed though, I couldn't help balling my eyes out, I was so upset lol. So yeah, I guess I do cry in public if I really can't help it. I also balled my eyes out on more than one occasion in front of quite a few people at school. But both times I had good reason to.

I really prefer not to in general, but especially in front of people/in public. When I do, it's silent, aside from the slightly shaky breathing. I only tend to cry in public if I can't help it - usually when my head's a mess, or more so than usual heh, or I'm in a lot of physical pain. If I have, then I tend to avoid where/who it was as much as possible for a while, due to feeling incredibly stupid and guilty.:roll:

I find it embarrassing and almost impossible to cry in front of other people. I have to know someone very very well to let them in enough to see all my emotions. They have to pretty much be family to know how I'm feeling.
I'm not very good with others showing strong emotions either. If someone is crying around me, I just wish I could be swallowed up by the ground, as I have no idea how to deal with them.
I'm not a very emotional person though. The only times I recall crying in the past 7 years is when my dogs were put to sleep.

Duchess doesn't cry often.
When she does, Duchess doesn't really like crying in front of people, but she doesn't really care. Duchess dislikes crying in front of people if the cause of the crying is a movie, show, song, etc. She thinks that THAT is embarrassing, especially in front of her family -blushes-

If I cry, I like to be alone. Only one of my friends has seen or heard me cry, and I'd rather like to keep it that way. I really don't care if he does, either. I don't really see crying in front of your friends as a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. It takes a lot to allow yourself to do that, especially if you're not emotional to begin with.

I've done that, been there, and it is quite embarrassing, when people laugh, but I know they have problems, if they find emotional distress funny. I wouldn't of course, cry in the middle of a bunch of people, but more around a quite group of friends, or in the bathroom, but I can imagine myself doing it outside of my room and even the home.

Crying in front of people makes me feel uncomfortable. My face isn't exactly attractive when it's all red and swollen and sticky with tears. People scare me in general anyway. Until I'm by myself, I try to hold in my tears.

Same here. I'm a bit emotional, but I'm no cryer. The only time I cried in public was when my brother got hit by a car. (He lives to tell the story fortunately. Thank God!)

I don't cry in front of people. I have an image to keep. It would make me look weak. But I usually cry alone in my room. I did cry over the phone when my girlfriend broke up with me.

I haven't cried in front of someone other than my significant other since I was very, very little. It's just not me, I don't like people seeing me vulnerable, even friends or family, let alone complete strangers. It's just one of those things I guess.

It depends on the situation. If someone died that I was close to I would care who saw me crying. But for the most part I will only cry with a couple people. I don't reallie cry a lot though.

I hate having people around. I just run away before the tears fall. Once, my cousin got me in trouble and I got grounded for a month. My mom didn't understand it wasn't my fault, I can't even remember why I was in trouble, and so I was sitting in the corner. I didn't cry, although I wanted to. People were staring at me, so when I was finally allowed to go, I ran to my tent, and locked the zippers down. And I cried my heart out. I curled into a small ball in the bottom of my sleeping bag, so no one would hear me.

I don't normally cry infront of people. It just embarasses me, I can't stand having people feel sorry for me.
