0== Point of HD TV if you are Nearsighted
like me.
i cant see very far, and i dont like wearing my glasses in my house. honestly. i dont see the point in High Definition TV / Movies in general i can see the images and everything just fine. i dont get how a "shaper" image is going to make me enjoy TV more |
Well compared to old tv's like the ones in our house, we went to Best Buy and checked some out and they are way sharper. There was a football game going on and you could see the blades of grass. It was so cool o_o If you don't wear your glasses for normal tv anyway, then you should at least be able to see a little better picture on the screen. Or you could just wear your glasses when watching XD
|
stuff like that...do i really need a better look at grass =3
i need new glasses anyway ^_^ i wear them to the theater though |
I feel your pain Bunai, my eyes are so bad even with a projection screen TV, all I see are colored blobs on the wall. However, I do wear my glasses, so that's not too much of an issue for me. I don't know... maybe some people like to watch astro turf as the football players run by.

Obviously to show off to your friends~
I mean, if you've got it, flaunt it, huh? Ahahaha. I've got a HD TV, but I'm not near-sighted, so I wouldn't know... |
HD looks more 3D. It's pretty sweet, really.
|
XD if you say so
i wonder what the next jump in Television Viewing will be. i'll try to find an example online, but i doubt i will change my mind i remember this add that had two screen shots of Jellybeans, one side was HD and...i didnt really see much of a point XD though i know the ad was about color and such |
Vista HD: it'll break down every ten minutes.
I don't like HD, personally. Maybe I'm just blind or something, I don't notice the difference. I don't CARE about the difference, as long as I can watch my shows. |
HD is a crock at the moment. HD TVs only have a certain ammount more deffinition than normal tvs. That increase is so minimal only like eagle eyed viewers can actually tell the difference. Sure it's sharper than most TVs out, but a HD tv is no better than a top of the line non HD tv. In the future the difference will be astronomically better, but right now, there's really no point other than the boasting factor. Most of that improvement is psychological because the human eye just can't pick out that small a difference. Or is a comparrison between a poor tv and a good tv.

Last night I was watching TV and realized I had issues reading the text. I too don't like wearing my glasses in the house either, but it appears that I'll need them for more than movies at home at this rate.

I wouldn't care about better TVs if it weren't for video games. They can change the whole experience. When I first got my 360 and was using an old TV, I was amazed at how beautiful the graphics were. But when I got a new TV, I was even more stunned at how much more beautiful they were.
