Besides the obvious which is English, I can also speak, and read Chinese mandarin fluently. I'm also taking Spanish as a second language in school but that's not going too well. xD

Rizzpheal 12-07-2008 04:50 PM

I'm fluent in English and Mandarin,
a bit French I guess. xD

Guivre 12-07-2008 07:28 PM

I count 3; English, Bulgarian and French. My french is rusty though. I know a little Swedish too, but very little.

One-eyed Jackal 12-08-2008 12:00 AM

I am fluent in English and German and eventually I'll be moving on to Italian and maybe French if I can overcome my dislike for them.

falling up 12-08-2008 05:44 AM

MedievalBeauty 12-08-2008 07:17 AM

The languages I speak are english, but I know a little bit of Japanese and Spanish. I'm hoping to learn more when I can.

Spanish:
*1 to 10
*Hello
*Good morning, good afternoon and goodnight
*Swear words

Japanese:
*Kiss
*Blush
One rude sentence

I speak English as my first language, obviously, and then French and Japanese at a conversational level. :D I really love learning foreign languages, and I pick them up pretty fast.

amerin 12-09-2008 03:09 PM

I'm learning Japanese, French, and hopefully soon to accentuate my yoga practice Hindi

but I'm the best at Japanese

Taliah 12-11-2008 02:03 AM

English is my native language. But I know some phrases in Spanish (nothing really functional or fluent, even though I took two years in High School), and my boyfriend is learning German and I've picked up a phrase or word of it here or there.

Sunstar 12-11-2008 09:56 AM

I can speak Icelandic, English, Danish, Swedish. I can understand French, little German and japanese.

Omote_Yugi 12-12-2008 08:48 PM

Lil_Neko_Angel 12-14-2008 12:23 AM

English and chinese, but im taking spanish and i get as much japanese as i can when i watch anime.

Innocence 12-14-2008 02:21 AM

English is my first language, obviously.
I speak Spanish, but it's somewhere on the level of a seven year old.
If you want me to say a really complex sentence, you'll have to give me plenty of time to put it together, ha ha.
But if you speak to me or write it out, I can understand you 100%, no matter how fast you may be speaking.
Yay for three years of Spanish class.

Beyond that, I know a lot of random words in a lot of languages.
None that can really be put together to form sentences though.
Bits of German, French and Japanese.

I also know a few (read as very few) conversational phrases and random words in Irish.
I'm trying to learn more, I'd love to be fluent someday.
But it's very hard to teach yourself, at least to speak it.
Especially when there is no one anywhere near you who speaks it, or even knows of it's existence. *sigh*

Inkjection 12-14-2008 11:37 AM

I can speak English(obviously) and Vietnamese fluently.
I know German and Spanish fairly well.
And I know some phrases in French.

Celeone 12-14-2008 11:43 AM

I can speak Dutch, which is my first language. I also speak English, that's mostly self-taught. Ive had some basic German, Latin, and Greek at school. And i'm currently learning French. I'd also like to speak Japanese one day.

Humple 12-14-2008 08:35 PM

English, and I'm learning Latin.

FeyonaSaibre 12-14-2008 08:42 PM

I only know English as my primary language.... but i'm learning French and hopefully soon I'll be able to have good conversational skills. I know a lot of random words from a lot of random languages...
German (I can sing Silent Night)
Veitnamese (I can say "I love you.")
Korean (I can say "Monster")
Japanese (I can say a few phrases and words.)
Spanish (I can say quite a few words; most of them reference to items that are in a Mexican restaurant. >.<)

I think that's about it....

Hallinda 12-14-2008 09:02 PM

The only language i speak fluently is english, but I took sign language in school for a couple of years and I really like it.
I also know quite a bit of Spanish. It's hard not to learn spanish when you live in Texas!

El gato esta en el pantalones!

or something like that....

Tro 12-14-2008 10:16 PM

Russian/English.

I took four years of French and Spanish at the same time; they canceled each other out. Can understand bit and pieces but can't respond.

I can understand spoken Japanese but can't respond; except for some starter conversationals.

Kazrai 12-15-2008 12:15 AM

Living in the Maritimes, you need to know French. Not to mention I am of French origin, as well as Norwegian. I can speak a few words of Japanese, and German. When I say few, I literally mean like ten or eleven. Anyways, I will hopefully be learning some Korean from my friend.

(God...d2hiriyuu, you have the two types of weapons I want most! XD >.> *Needs to go make money to buy them from someone*)

Smellerbee 12-15-2008 12:24 AM

One and a half :D

keaton7 12-17-2008 11:21 PM

Portuguese, English, I'm learning Japanese, I also understand some Spanish and Italian.
Well, French is a bit harder, only very few things...

Some Random Randomness 12-17-2008 11:31 PM

English and Dutch.

And when I say I can speak them, I mean actually speak. ^__^
I can hold conversations, read books and talk to people. I'm fluent.

I wouldn't consider only being able to say small sentences or only being able to read/hear as being able to speak it.

Ajax Blacknight 12-18-2008 08:52 PM

I speak Danish, English, German and a tiny bit Japanese.
I can also understand Sweedish and Norweigan, not too good at speaking it though.
