Uhm.. so I'm a little confused about these propositions. When will we know the results for them? Or have they already come through?

Kerrieberrie 11-05-2008 03:27 PM

They are still unsure about Prop 8 at this point, I just searched on cnn...

Quote:

College graduates opposed Proposition Eight by a 57 percent to 43 percent margin. Those without a college degree favored it 53 percent to 47 percent.
What does that say to you? e_e

That's still very even. .____. *Crosses fingers*

That it's easier to maintain your prejudices when you are never put into an environment where you have to question them, and where you come face to face with a diverse population.

It's easy to assume that all of one group are one way until you actually meet the human component.

It says, "Get those kids to college!" also.

I woke up early and left to go vote at 8:30 yesterday. It was my second time voting, but the first time I actually payed a lot of attention to the candidates and their campaigns. I voted for Obama and I'm glad he won! At my college most of the the students on campus also supported Obama.

As for propositions I didn't have any to vote for this time around. I live in Illinois, so the only other things I had to vote for was the Senate, House of Representatives, and Congress. There were also a few things for my neighborhood that I voted for. Mainly a slight tax increase that would go to the local fire department if passed. I voted yes on that. Other than what I mentioned there wasn't much of anything else to vote for really.
