we didn't really do the present thing year. instead we went and bought ourselves an xbox360 and a new computer in the pre-christmas sales. both things are obviously big purchaces, so we were totally happy to just get those and not worry about too much else. i have the sneaking suspicion that my boy and i will both sneak off when we go to post-christmas sales and buy something for the other to rip open. really, it's not christmas unless you get to destroy wrapping paper.. also that surprise of a present is neat.
