Hi guys. This is the place to post, discuss and riddicule the New Year's resolutions.
What are your resolutions for the upcoming 2009 (if you have any)? And what happened to the ones you had for this year?
Ok, so for me 2008's resolutions kinda went down the drain (it was meant to be the Year of Me, but I forgot that and didn't do much to keep up the hard work). But this year, I'm planning to make that all different.
Some of the many New Year's Resolutions I have:
- Back up my optimisim with some actual work
- Which will lead to working hard enough to pass my exams in January
- In which I'll get all As (7 As for 7 exams- impossible, I know, but that's what resolution no.1 is for  )
- I will procede to work as hard till July
- So that in June I'll have more good grades in my exams
- And I'll get into UCL (University College London) because I'll meet the baseline grades
- I will enjoy studying at UCL
- This might have to involve my drama skills as I break down into tears in front of them in my 4th week of studying there, and beg them to place me on a slightly different course (which is so similar, I don't see why they should have a problem with that)
- Which reminds me- work on my terrible drama skills
And, last but not least:
- Start a journal. Or whatever I'm going to call it. Write in it at least once a week, and keep it for the whole of 2009. As the most boring turning point in my life, I want to be able to read back in like 10 years time, and see exactly where I went wrong when I failed my exams, and didn't get into any uni. :gonk:
So, what are your resolutions for the new year?

My New Year's Resolution is and has always been to not make a New Years Resolution. And every year, I break it for that reason.
Perhaps this year will be different, and logic will cease to exist...

My New Year's Resolution is to not blabber my friends' secrets out to anyone, not even my best friend! It's kinda hard to keep secrets away from my family though...

I haven't actually put much thought as to what mine will be. This year, i made three, and have kept to them all.
I should imagine this time, it will be along the lines of:
#Keep working towards my ideal healthy weight
#Keep being the best friend i can be
#Achieve grade C at least, in all of my A levels.
#Develop somewhat personally

My New Years Resolution is to sign up for classes with teachers that I like and then show up for class and do all the assignments. I'm not going to say that I have to get a certain grade because that's intimidating to me, I just figure if I do the work, good grades will come naturally.

I hardly ever make New Year's resolutions, per se. After all, I believe that if you're going to make a change, you should do it now, instead of putting it off for the new year to come. But... there are some things I would like to accomplish this year, including finally graduating from college!

Oh jeez, I had to be reminded of New Years Resolutions? Maaaaaan, I usually forget about those immediately. @ [email protected]
Hypothetically speaking, though... I really need to focus on uploading more of my doodles and sketches... and not just finished products (which don't come around as often). And then, I need to complete a doujinshi. *firm nod* And be satisfied with it. Yes, that is my goal for next year. As of now.

Exercise more. Oh, and figure out what in the hell I want to do with the rest of my life before the next new year. xD
I don't think I had any New Year's Resolutions this year. If I did, they must have been things that barely mattered because I can't remember them.

Probably the same as this year, to lose weight, which I did this year, I'm at 128 now :) I want to be at 125.

I usually try to keep to my new years resolutions for the first day of the new year. But it never seem's to work. I either don't have the innitiative or just begin to not care.
But this year i'm going to "try" once again to become healthier and better at my job. I'd like to lose weight and eat healthy.

i'm really terrible at keeping new years resolutions and then i feel like a loser and a failure for not sticking to my decisions. this year i've run across this 101 things to do in 1001 days idea and i'm really liking that. give me a mission for the next few years. i'm planning on getting that written and done before new years and then that will be my equivalent this year.

I always say I'm going to make one and never do. I probably wouldn't keep them anyway. I'm bad at telling myself to do something. I almost never keep promises to myself. I'm too ADD to remember anything anyway.

That's a great idea Dementes! Although, I'm so un-original I'm not sure I'd think of 101 things.
