This year i'm going to eat a banana everday!!(other than today since we go food shopping tommorrow)By the end of this year i'm going to LIKE eating bananasXD

Insane Cricket 01-02-2009 12:18 AM

See, that's what I thought. That as long as you didn't put the spoons in your post that you didn't have to quote them. =S

Thanks for clearing it up Bartuc.

Midian 01-02-2009 12:21 AM

A banana everyday is an odd one. XD Hehe but if it's to make you like bananas, I guess it's good lol.

*edited because the 1st part is now not needed* :)

So when someone asks "Why would you create a snowman in summer?" I am not allowed to say "I would create a snowman in summer because it's a feat to achieve" unless I post the spoon? So the appropiate response would be "Because it's a feat to achieve?" My german and english teachers would run screaming^^;;

Insane Cricket 01-02-2009 12:26 AM

The issue has already been cleared up Ehnvy.

Ehnvy 01-02-2009 12:28 AM

Cricket, I am asking what I asked above because I am still confused about it. Do you honestly think I'm trying to start something here? All I want is to -understand- so this situation doesn't repeat itself in the future. I'll go ahead and PM Bartuc so he can clear this up for me further and leave this thread.

goldfish67 01-02-2009 12:30 AM

Yup it's good because it's another food i''ll be eating =D

Insane Cricket 01-02-2009 12:33 AM

An emote is not a period. Use punctuation and capitalization. 'I' when referring to oneself, including the word 'I'm' require a capital 'i'.

- Do you make new year resolutions?
I do. Sometimes more than one.

Quote:

- If you do, what's your resolution for this year?
My resolution is to get into shape again. Lose a bit of weight and get toned muscle.

Quote:

- Why did you make that resolution?
Mostly because I've wanted it gone for a while.

Quote:

- I'd like to know what you think of people who make and break their resolutions.
*shrugs* It happens?

Quote:

- What are you hoping for in the new year?
More laughter and happy times.

Since you are not repeating the question you can use. "I would create a snowman in summer because it's a feat to achieve" because it helps with directing to what you are answering as well as actually making a complete sentence.

Resolution for 2008?

Let's share our goals and pains to do so!

My resolutions go as followed:
Quit Gaia. [Played it since 2004 and i thought it was a good time to leave.]
Figure out what i am..Sexually speaking. >>;; [Please don't hit me.]
Rock out and prove to everyone around me that I can do better things on my own.
Plan for 2010, The year i move away from home and live on my own.
Try and not to flirt with people...[This should be fun! I'm always flirting with people.]

I was gonna add "Not to be an idiot" but.. I kinda failed.

EDIT: TITLE IS SUPPOSE TO BE 2009! xD

Saisei 01-02-2009 04:48 AM

Unfortunately, there's already a new year resolutions topic already, so I'm going to merge this one with that one. :)

Thoth Star 01-02-2009 08:25 AM

My resolution was to cutback on smoking... Yep.

d2hiriyuu 01-02-2009 08:31 AM

new years resolution, is to be more deticated to school, and let more go in my life as things go.

Read the literacy rule. >.<;;

Hm, I have a few New Year's resolutions. One of them is to get straight A+'s and straight O's or S's on my report cards. Another one is to do more stuff around the house. Not to get on the computer co much. Be more involved with school like extra curricular activities. Get to 10 million gold on GaiaOnline and at least 5 million gold on Menewsha or 5 million of gold worth of items and pure. And much much more.

Insane Cricket 01-05-2009 05:10 AM

Well looks like you'll be spending a ton of time online to get that much gold on Menewsha.

I believe this is the first year I have not devoted myself to a New Year's Resolution. Last year, I was supposed to learn and become comfortable with cooking seven dishes. I started out alright: I've learned to cook pizza, chicken parmigiano, Hamburger Helper (does that count?), Tuna Helper, spaghetti, and that's it. I failed.

I've failed ever resolution I've ever pledged, and I don't feel like failing any more. Why should anyone choose the beginning of a year to start something anyway? Don't postpone doing something new until January. Do it as soon as you feel a desire to.

konikiat 01-05-2009 09:13 AM

I don't have a new year resolution at the moment since I tend to not follow what I have planned on doing and decided not to make one for a change. But I might change my mind later if some situations would arise that could make me change my decision. I have also asked my friends and they had the same answer with mine. I would rather do or commit to things when I wholly decided to do so and not just for the reason of doing the traditional things that I have been following for the past years.

Fabby 01-05-2009 12:11 PM

My new year's resolution was not to smack my boyfriend anymore, but I already broke it. >___>;; Bad Fabs.
...Wow, you practically require a degree in English to be able to post in your threads! =D

Also, I will refrain from posting in these types of threads. This killed it for me.

Lol... I think the key here is "Trial Moderator". Blah, blah blah. Just take it for what it is, don't worry about it too much. Yes it was a stupid admonishment, which also takes away from a nice, topical thread. Which is something that we need more of on this site, if you ask me. And of course, no one did.

But, New Year's Resolutions. Mine was no caffeine, but I think that's really unrealistic now since it's the middle of winter. It's really hard to instruct someone who is grabbing a drink for you -NOT- to grab you a real, live coffee. I'll just have to settle for no caffeine that I myself choose ...

MaryKay 01-05-2009 04:17 PM

I resolve to eat more healty, and I resolve to stop doing things to hurt myself.

1) Yes, but I hardly ever keep them
2) My resolution for this year is to think things through.
3) I always jump into situations before thinking them out, and they most always end up badly...
4) I think it's good that they're trying to work on their flaws, but they need to put forth a little bit more effort. (( guilty ))
5)I want a year that leads to my family, friends, and myself to live happy and healthy.

Violet_Beauregarde91 01-15-2009 06:43 PM

I cheesed and resolved not to change the way I am. I really don't have anything that people want me to change, and I don't want to change, so why should I?!
