Why the heck am I awake already? o_0
Ever have those days when you randomly wake up at some obscure hour of the morning and just can't go back to sleep?
For the past two days, I've been waking up at six for goodness knows what reason. It's not like I have a badly regulated sleeping schedule either. I generally go to sleep at twelve and always wake up at eight. Now I'm going to sleep at twelve and am suddenly am waking up at six. ...and I don't need to be awake this early either. I don't have class until two. This ever happen to you? What do you do when it happens (because I'm rather bored out of mind right now, I'd rather go back to sleep)? Do you take long naps to compensate? |
i cant nap during the day if i want to be alive to do something after
when i was in highschool i would sometimes come home and flop on my bed to unwind and pass out, next thing i knew it was dark and my mom was waking me for dinner, i would often go right back to bed too and sleep all night then there was that, like year i had mono ugh I got woken up earlier then i normally wake today too, but thats cause my husband was at the mcdonalds getting breakfast with his crew and they dont care if he come down to our home, i can see the mcdonalds they go to from my window lol so i got a little visit and some breakfast, though it wasnt the best, its still very sweet <3 |
Jesu! It is absolutely awful. I tend to go to my bed at eleven or sometimes earlier, and awake at five thirty every morning to go to my schooling. Lately however I have been waking up every morning at two which is irritating. I do not like to sleep, as I can do much more if I am awake but two in the morning? That is a bit ridiculous. I need not be at the school until eight thirty, though I love to leave early. ' sigh ' I hope it shall change as this extra sleep and sometimes lack thereof is making my body function irrationally. I hope things get better for you sleep wise. Having nothing to do whilst you are awake can be such a bother.

I have a habit of waking up a few hours before I want to be awake. No matter what time I'm going to get up, my brain always seems to want to get me up earlier. Thankfully, I usually have an easy time getting back to sleep so it's not too much of a bother.
It's more annoying when my dogs wake me up early so they can go outside. Once I've gotten up and walked around, that's when it's hard to get back to sleep. |
I more commonly wake up late. I'm actually trying to adjust my sleeping schedule by staying up late and such, but I think it's failing. Halfway through a Rockstar and about to fall asleep.
I do sort of wake up early sometimes, but I don't consider myself waking up until I'm awake awake and can't get back to sleep, which isn't until after, like, 10 hours? I wake up five times in the night though, so it probably is more like 8, but oh well. If I ever wake up early, there's a reason for it. |
Usually if I somehow wake up at an early hour of the day, I can go back to sleep. Sometimes it might take a little while, but I can still do it.
I can't take naps, they make me feel just as horrible as I did before. |
Yeah, I sometimes wake up early(anywhere between seven am and ten, usually)but I go back to sleep. I really do need to start staying up when that happens, to get my body adjusted in case I get a job I've applied for; then I'll have to be up anywhere between four am and seven am. But I just can't seem to make myself stay up. I can if I have a reason, but if I don't have one, I just don't see the point in not going back to bed.
I'm a sleep person. If I HAVE to be up for something then I can do it-even if I am not happy about it. But if there isn't an actual reason, I can't justify staying up rather than sleeping. Right now my sleeping pattern is I fall asleep between 2 and 4am, and I get up at noon. I could go to bed earlier but the last time I went to bed at ten, I woke up at two am and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm weird though; at any time of day I can lie down and fall right asleep, but at night, I just lie awake for hours. Well, if oyu can't get back to sleep and you have nothing to do, maybe you should still just stay in bed and relax. Even if you don't fall back asleep, your body will still be resting. |
It happens to me sometimes too. For a couple days straight. I usually just stay up later to compensate, that way I wake up later. If you are feeling really tired still, I would suggest you try to go back to sleep. Just lay as still as you possibly can and breath. It may take a bit, but you'll fall back to sleep. And usually, if you wake up in the night and then fall back to sleep you'll have insanely vivid dreams!

I wake up 1-5 minutes before my alarm goes off most days... does that count? o.o

o.o
I'm the opposite, sometimes I'm so exhausted I go to be at 6!!! no, not 6 in the morning, 6 at night! I don't know why, but I always end up waking up at midnight when that happens XD then I go back to sleep, wake up at 5 in the morning and feel refreshed ^^ But I get up at 6 in the morning on school days, like a routine bases, but that's because it's something I do almost every morning |
That's basically every day of my life now. D: It especially sucks since I normally go to bed in the area of midnight - 3 am (I don't start school until after 11 am), but I've been waking up at 6 or 7 in the morning and can NOT go back to sleep.
It's torture! Seriously! |
I do this all the time.
Today, I'm having a bit of sinus trouble, and I woke up at 4 in the morning. I had to watch boring sitcoms until I fell back asleep ( I wouldn't dare go on the internet), which was in a few hours. I probably look wierd, being up this early. It's 10:30 my time though, Saturday. I am stuck in an apartment with nothing to do but type away. And watch boring sitcoms. |
that happens to me sometimes, i wake up at 6 when is should be waking up at 7 for some reason? (other things wake me up...like hunger DX)
but i make up for it cause i get sleepy in school, and then take a small nap when i get home (if i wake up until the next day) i dont know the human body can be strange at times when it has to do with sleeping. |
I sometimes do that. But I normally wake at 4:45 anyway, so waking early isn't really a problem for me. If I can, I go back to sleep. If not, I get ready for school.
The other day in choir, we were talking about the stages of sleep. You sleep in intervals of 4 hours and wake up every four hours without really noticing it and then go back to sleep. That's why it's reccomended we get at least 8 hours of sleep. Or something. I can't remember. |
I wake up somewhere between 3 and 4 every night. I go to bed around midnight. I just have sleeping issues to begin with so it's hard for me to sleep. When I wake up I just end up staying awake the rest of the day since most the time I have to work between 6 and 8am. If I don't have to work I try to go back to sleep but just end up staring at the wall for hours until I decide that I can't take it anymore and just get up for the day.
|
I woke up at 5:00 and 4:00 a couple times. I get up at 6:00 usually, so it's only an hour or two early. Still, I go to sleep at 12:00....
|
Oh yeah. I already have to wake up pretty early in the mornings for drill team. 4:30AM...but I've waken up at odd times. And If I remember correctly, I ended up napping most of the day away later on...
|
I some times get woken up at odd hours of the night when people come back and are horribly loud, and slamming doors and falling in to things. Other wise I wake up around 3-4 when the grounds crew starts snow removal. That one is the worst because I can't go back to sleep till they are done out side our building cause it is loud and usually scares the crap outta me till I am awake enough to figure out what is happening. Other wise I have been sleeping rather sound as of late...
|
Sometimes I wake up 2-4 hours before I want to. I go back to sleep pretty fast, but then I wake every hour until I officially wake up. This usually happens when I really want to get up at a certain time, so I guess it might be my body overcompensating.
