Talk about painful ; ;
It hurts to eat and even brush my teeth. I've been using this stuff that helps by numbing the sore so it doesn't hurt as much.
Where's the most painful place that you've had a canker sore?
Any home remedies to help speed the process of healing?

Are you sure it's not an acid bump? If it is eat a anti acid. But I've never heard of a canker sore on a tongue. I get them on the inside of my lip's and it hurts like a bitch.

I've had one there too....It was horrible, I couldn't talk without irritating it. And I have a 'permanent retainer' (a small piece of metal cemented to my two upper front teeth) and I kept whacking the sore against it without thinking, and this shooting pain would go through my tongue....:gonk:
Hope yours gets better soon though.

I always get little sores on my tongue. :<
The most I've had at once is four.

I wonder what causes them. ;-;

Ooh, canker sores! What fun.I think I had at least three at once before... different areas of my mouth so I couldn't find a 'safe' side to chew food on or anything.
It's hard to remember, ya know, bad experiences get pushed away from your memory thing. xD
I also had one so close to my lip it was nearly on the outside of my mouth.
The only home remedy I can think of is gargling salt water, but I have no idea what that actually does. >.>

I used to get them all the time. ><
Turned out it was a bad combo from acid saliva and this all natural toothpaste I was using at the time.
Whenever I get them I do salt water swishes before and after I eat to cleanse the area so they don't get further infections or the like.
That seems to help a bit.
Be careful not to bite your tongue, also!
You'd think this would be a given, but if you continue to numb the area you may forget and accidently rip open the canker (I did this once).
Not fun.
Feel betterr!

i'm not even sure what one of those is.... i remember having an absis(cant spell) on my already swallon tonsils, that was probably 111000000x more painful because yeh i couldn't eat or drink at all and breathing was abit of a bother too, had to go hospital and have like.... air and drips 24/7

My canker sore disappeared now, but healing it was hell... The dentist in the university applied some kind of medicine which made me scream at the top of my lungs because of the pain... the other dentists laughed... DX
And I tasted the medicine which was, blergh!!! But it did help soothe the pain. :D
