You have to put your quote in quote tags.

Right now, mine is:

Quote:

All good fairy tales have to end. And most fairy tales have a happily-ever-after kind of ending, marked by the return of a gallant prince. But in my fairy tale, there's no glass slipper, no godmother, no mice. Just me, wishing I could turn into a pumpkin.
From the show Instant Star, Season 4, Episode "Possession"

xD I have notebooks full of quotes, too, whole notebooks each for Instant Star and Third Watch (two for Third Watch).

I have several quotes from Shakespeare which I like most of them being insults, I can't think of any off hand at the moment but I read alot of work by Poe and I quote from The Raven alot.

My favorite being:

Quote:

Quoth the Raven, 'Nevermore.'
And from MacBeth:

Quote:

Thine sole name blisters our tongues.

Cherish 03-19-2009 07:56 PM

Gosh, I have so many quotes I love, it's hard to pick!

Here's one of my favourites by William Shakespeare, it's from As You Like It:
Quote:

And this, our life, exempt from public haunt,
Finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks,
Sermons in stones, and good in everything.
And this one is from Miranda July, who is one of my favourite film writers/directors:
Quote:

When I was little I had a theory that you should draw a picture using all the colors except yellow, making it as good as you could, and then, finally, after giving up, you should add yellow. And yellow had the magical property of instantly making everything come alive, it was light itself, and thus the picture came into being.

Horace Mann
US educator (1796 - 1859)

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Hebrews 13:2

We are, each of us angels with only one wing; and we can only fly by embracing one another.

Third Watch; Season 1; Episode "A Thousand Points of Light"

Quote:

A real hero is someone who does the right thing when no one's looking.
It was quoted on Third Watch (Episode "Rat Bastard"; Season 6), but I'm not sure where they got it from.

"You, you, and you ... Panic. The rest of you, come with me." - U.S. Marine Corp Gunnery Sgt.

"Any ship can be a minesweeper . Once." - don't know who

"What is the similarity between air traffic controllers and pilots? If a pilot screws up, the pilot dies; If ATC screws up, .... The pilot dies." - don't know who

Quote:

“They’re trying to kill me,” Yossarian told him calmly.
“No one’s trying to kill you,” Clevinger cried.
“Then why are they shooting at me?” Yossarian asked.
“They’re shooting at everyone,” Clevinger answered. “They’re trying to kill everyone.”
“And what difference does that make?”
[...]
“Who’s they?” he wanted to know. “Who, specifically, do you think is trying to murder you?”
“Every one of them,” Yossarian told him.
“Every one of whom?”
“Every one of whom do you think?”
“I haven’t any idea.”
“Then how do you know they aren’t?”
“Because...” Clevinger sputtered, and turned speechless with frustration.
Clevinger really thought he was right, but Yossarian had proof, because strangers he didn’t know shot at him with cannons every time he flew up into the air to drop bombs on them, and it wasn’t funny at all.

lol, I love Catch-22 by Joseph Heller...such a weird book. XD
This one's more serious though, still from Catch-22.
