Mom found her on the way to take my little brother to school, in the middle of the highway, she was originally gray from what would be dirt? I don't know but we called her Dixie. And all the other cats are jealous. We think she was dumped OR her mother was killed.(we saw a cat on the side of the road that looks a ton like this little one the other day)
Cute right?! I couldn't get a good picture, she's super active.
She doesn't know what food is, we have to put it in like a dropper thingy and feed it to her, she prefers milk(she has teeth so she should be able to eat whole food and we only give her wet food, the can stuff.)
She also has a broken tail. Ouch.

Aww, she is adorable!
I hate it when people disguard their pets like their nothing. How hard is it to go to SPCA or the local pound and give them away the correct way if they can't care for them or don't want them anymore. I'm sure even a friend would have taken poor little Dixie, I know I would have in a heart beat.

Aww, Dixie looks so adorable! Are you going to keep her? I'd love to be able to adopt a cat, but sadly, pets aren't allowed in school dormitories :o

I know. It's sick. I hate it.
But the worst thing is, here, they don't open the door and put the animal out. No. They throw them out the window.
It's horrible.
EDIT; We might. But we are probably going to give her away to a friend or something. c:

Awh! That's such a beautiful kittty! When we were younger, my older brother found a tiny kitten on his way to school. He couldn't do anything about it or he'd be late, but he gave it to our neighbour to take care of. xD But it is disgusting when owners treat their pets like that. Doesn't take much energy to give it to some pet shelter if they don't want it.

Congrats for a good deed. Of course it'd be lovely if you could keep her...Not knowing your financial status or circumstances, this may not be possible.
I only hope some kind of spay and neuter laws come about and are enforced so that these animals don't become the throw-a-away beings that too much breeding seems to lead to.

@ Enemy: They do the same thing here. I live sorta in the country, but we have a SPCA and a local pound, but still, I see dogs and cats alike walking around near the busy street because their owners have ditched them.
My sister's friend even found a bag full of puppies on the side of the road. She had made her mother stop, because the bag was moving oddly and when she opened it, she found the poor babies in the bag. I swear, lets do the stuff that bad owners do to their pets and maybe they will think twice before throwing a pet away on the side of the road or beating it.
Eh, big animal lover. >.<;

I've read about a few stories of people finding kittens in dumpsters or trash cans.
It's very discouraging. I'm just glad I live in an area that has less of these problems.
Overall the north of the USA is doing a better job of neutering and spaying companion animals.
Some places are shipping up animals from the south that need homes.

Are you feeding her KMR or cow's milk? The latter has very little nutritional value for cats and can cause digestive problems, so you should switch her to KMR or try to get some solid food in her if possible.

Wow, isn't she the cutest little thing?
I personally can't believe that people would abandon helpless domesticated pets ANYWHERE, especially since it's not that hard to find someone who will pay you to have said animal. It's hard form to understand, since I love animals, and wish that I could have one of my own...
But, of course, the universe hates me, and I'm allergic to them. So I can't have any.

Actually is it hard to find them homes because there are too many of them. It may be more or less difficult depending on the area.

I suppouse you have a point, there, Claudia. But it's heartbreaking to see kittens in trashcans just because people are too lazy to even bring them to shelters where I live.

She's adorable. My mom would do the same thing. It's how we got a few of the cats we had.
It looks like it may have been wild, but I'm just going off of what's presented in front of me.
At least it has a good home now! I'm sure it'll be healthy in no time.

Awie, cute kitty!
When I was younger, I found a pair of Kittens alone in my backyard.
I wanted to take them both in but one wouldn't let me, so i took Oliver!
He was a wonderful cat<3

Aww, she looks like such a sweet heart.
That was a kind thing your mom did by bringing it in.
How's she doing?
Is she ok with being held and played with?

My brother came home with a puppy last year. Took us half that time to find out she's a Staffordshire bull-terrier. She's rather small, like a puppy, but can beat up our bigger dogs.

Aww, what a cute little thing. Why, she's adorable! ^^
I just don't get it that PETA only freaks out about cruelty to wild animals, but doesn't seem to care about people's mistreating their pets, cows, hens or horses. The way animals are treated at egg or stock farms...it's horrible!

that's cute.
i had a friend who brought home an orphan kitten. it was a little rusty kitten so they named him Rusty. if i can recall correctly, his siblings ( and i think his mother ), were killed by a dumpster truck when they smoosh all the trash together and the like. luckily that kitten was saved by my friends mom's friend. o-o

Aww...I love cats~! Actually, I love all kinds of animals...but my mom hates them. She finally consented to letting me get a dog though so I don't think I could convince her to let me get a cat as well. But, when I move out I think I'll get a cat and another dog.
