I got 4 wisdom teeth out. . .
I think it was my senior year?
Or maybe my junior year
So at least 2-3 years ago
I was probably 16-17

My left side was horribly
painful, I could barely eat Dx

But then; gas, shots and half
an hour later, I didn't remember a thing
>w<

My bottom left wisdom tooth is coming in. im not getting it taken out though. my grandfather has never taken them out and he's fine.they dont cause him any problems. i dont want my tooth pulled out. it'd be painful.

i had to get my wisdom teeth taken out for my braces... i had nothing but tomato soup and shakes (with NO STRAW) for weeks on end... in the end it's worth it though.

I never got mine.

I never lost about half of my teeth, either. I think I only lost one molar.

I have no idea why, really, but at least this way if I ever lose one, I'll still have replacements. xD

Well, maybe it doesn't work like that, but oh well...

Not to scare you or anything, but I got my wisdom teeth removed
about two years ago, and still can't feel a large portion of my tongue.
When they were operating, the surgeon cut a nerve, and so I'll probably
never taste on one side of my mouth ever again. Haha. How tragic.

But apparently, there's only a 1/500 chance of that happening. Looks like
I'm fairly unlucky. lol. You should be fine as long as you see a good dentist.

I'm 21 and have no sign of my Wisdom teeth coming in. Everyone else in my family has had them out, mind you, I never needed braces either and everyone else in my family did.

I'm a little worried that they will come in, in the next two years. I won't have any money to get them taken out due to college and living expenses.

Raphael 08-08-2009 08:24 PM

I haven't experience this pain yet.
>_>

Codette 08-08-2009 09:50 PM

for the past couple of years my wisdom teeth keep trying to peak through, but within a week they settle and the pain goes away. My dentist says to just let them grown through, that my teeth have made room for them... It's weird cause on the right side of my mouth, I can feel the top of my tooth just under the gum.

I have to get two of my teeth removed in a couple weeks, and I'm pretty nervous. People tell me that it won't hurt too much, but I think they're lying to make me feel better.

XRazorwireX 08-09-2009 09:56 PM

I haven't gotten mine out yet. If I'm lucky, they will grow in straight. I am so scared to be under anesthesia O__o

My girlfriend said she's having a wisdom tooth taken out sometime this month.

Parasite 08-10-2009 05:29 AM

I'm getting my top right wisdom tooth in as I speak. It's growing in fine, thank goodness, but where's it's pushing through the skin and since it's such a large tooth, it's been hurting me pretty badly the last few days. I've been frequently applying the extra strength Orajel and popping my Tylenol to get over the pain. My wisdom teeth are real slow to grow in. Whoopee. x~x

Silberne Katze 08-10-2009 09:21 PM

I had mine taken out and it wasn't bad. Oh sure, I had a cyst in my jaw which kept my face swelled up for an extra week...I ate a lot of pudding during that time.

khrome 08-10-2009 09:22 PM

i've never gotten my wisdom teeth removed, but i think i will have to sooner or l8r since they are causing problems in my mouth ( tho i hope they don't get removed ). i mite either get them removed or the dentists will be able to fix my teeth with braces. i dunno. i'm a little confused on the whole thing. >>;

Dentistry has come a LONG way since the old horror stories. I'm absolutely petrified of needles, and tend to pass out whenever I see them coming at me. But I've had a LOT of work done lately, including a couple surgical extractions, and they were surprisingly easy. I won't lie, the after isn't exactly a cake walk, but it's not as bad as you might think. Just be sure to tell whoever does your work how nervous you are. There are tons of things they can do about it these days.

I just got my wisdom teeth out two weeks ago. It was an... experience. Since I'm so tiny, they could only give me so much novacaine, and it turned out that some of the stuff they gave me was a bad batch. The result: I was not numb.

Yes, so I actually felt two of my wisdom teeth being drilled too little pieces and taken out. It was not pleasant. xP

But it was better than coming back later to do it again. >[email protected]

Oh that's terrible, psyrien! @[email protected]

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed last year under general anaesthetic. I was groggy for a while, and for the first few days, the only thing I could eat was icecream. Overall, it wasn't a very nice experience. >.< My mouth tasted like rotting flesh for a week, and I hated having gauze in my mouth all the time. But I'm glad I had them removed - it's actually quite painful when your wisdom teeth are trying to break through your gums. @[email protected] Now I know how teething babies feel. XDDD

Mine are really annoying.
They start growing through, but not far enough to be taken out.
They do this about once every two months, and my entire face feels like a bruise. :(

LittleFox 08-14-2009 03:50 AM

Mine are just now coming in but I might not have to get them pulled

Bunai 08-15-2009 06:10 PM

I got my top back-left removed. I think I am getting the top back-right removed too. Apparently my wisdom teeth are too big for my mouth. I would like all of the removed, but I doubt that will happen.

My top back-left one was removed, because it was literally broken and impacted. It cut into my cheek and would occasionally get infected. The right one just experienced this, but it is not as broken as the left.

Flowery Pit 08-15-2009 06:34 PM

I had all four taken out during my Sophmore year? Also I was petrified in fear. When I woke up, I was all "wuuh?" and they had to wheel me to the car. I had like tons of that gauze stuff in my mouth and I couldn't feel my lips, tongue and my entire jaw.

But they gave me these horse pills of an aspirin, which was pain to take because I couldn't open my mouth. My mom hadta crush the pill in applesauce and feed it to me. Applesauce never tasted so good. XD
